Hi guys. I'm thinking of getting a small pet for myself since I can't buy a dog. (living with parents ) So the question is. Sugar Gliders or Hedgehogs? From what i read in the Sugar Gliders thread it seems like there's more work to do and it require more attention which is not that easy for me as I work 12 hours per day and I don't think my mom will help me look after it. The thing I'm concerned with is whether Hedgehog requires injections? Will they fall sick easily? I've read the front page at TS said they don't but I just wanted to make sure.. lol.. How much in average do i have to spend per month for them? Its better for me since Hedgehogs are solitary animals. xD. How much do i have to spend on my first purchase? with cage and bowls and other stuff. You advise are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

QUOTE(BunnyRAWR @ Jun 15 2013, 04:10 PM) Try looking @ Pet Safari Ikano Alright. THanks for the info. Anyway. I just got my hedgehog for about 2 days and it's about 2 months old. Whenever I touches him or wakes him up he seemed to be shaking alot. My room temp is around 24c which should be acceptable right? But after awhile when i leaves him alone he seemed to be ok.. what could be the problem?

QUOTE(BunnyRAWR @ Jun 15 2013, 07:49 PM) You're sure it's not hissing or puffing instead? Though if you mean 'shaking' by making sound like a motor continuously and kinda like vibrating, then it might just be it is not used to the new environment. Found my hedgie once like that in the middle of the night (it was under my bed then - and it was very dark) xD nope. not hissing or puffing. just walking around like shaking.

QUOTE(BunnyRAWR @ Jun 16 2013, 11:36 PM) Maybe it's just a problem of getting use to the surrounding. I think 24c room temperature is fine btw because my hedgie did just fine in a colder room. To be on a safe side, give it some cloth to tug itself in and maybe move it to a warmer place. Also try looking on youtube for Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome. And sorry my hedgehog never had a problem like this one, so that's all I could think of right now Hmm.. alright. guess that's the only thing i can do now. Thanks for the heads up

Hey guys. My hedgehog which is around 3-4 months old is scratching a lot for the pass few months. I've checked and it doesn't seemed like there's mites or anything and I've even bath him but the problem is still there. I've notice that he might just be quilling but is it possible for him to quill so long?
