ladies and gentlemen. I would really like to know where i can get good bedding for my hog... because few days ago i've been using some wood shavings but my hog was hurt due to it... so is there any other recommendations out there? I've googled about it, the best is Aspen Shavings? Currently I'm using a piece of cloth and some tissue... which it's quite smelly... So please recommend me some? Please n Thank you.

QUOTE(TeliLeti @ Apr 21 2013, 07:48 PM) Aww, I hope your hedgie is okay. How did he/she get hurt? Shes fine now, her wounds are caused by the wood shavings.. Now she seems better but still she scratch herself a lot... Is it because of mites? And this bedding u suggested, can i gt em online?![]() I use this nowadays. Pretty expensive but I use it because I don't have to change their bedding as often as wood shavings. Since I keep my hedgies outside, flies tend to lay eggs on the hedgie's poop too and I get worms (larva) after a few days. When I switched from wood shavings to this paper bedding, I can last one whole week without changing the bedding since it wards off the bad smell and soaks up the moisture (keeping the eggs from hatching too, which is great). You can use fleece as bedding too, which is very safe for hedgehogs. |

I would like to ask, about this Olive Oil for hedgies skin... So basically I just buy normal olive oil from the supermarket or minimarket and drop a few drops to a spray container and spray it on a hedgie?
