If you live in Klang Valley, you can find silent spinner rip-offs at RM80-ish in Pet Lovers Centre branches.  biggrin.gif

Who knew hedgies cost a bomb to rear, even after the initial cost of housing & food...
I spent RM123 on 2kg of RC36 & RC32 yesterday at The Pet Family.  unsure.gif
Ramsden (where I usually buy as it's the cheapest where I live) closed down so I had to go to TPF. D:

The young hedgehogs have begun running on the wheels. biggrin.gif

Rearing hedgehog is pretty cheap. For u it's a different case cos u r breeding them.
If u only have one, it's not costly at all. RM20 a month? that's about all

there was this once, when i purchase certain batch of superworms
i belive they have some sickness where they can't last very long
usually die within a week and very contagious among the superworms..
they will die and rot when infected, all within a cuople of hours...
when they die, their body will leave a gaping hole at the bottom near thier neck
the other mealworms that ate this dead worm will eventaully be infected and die as well...

Whatever u gut load ur worm with...your hedgie gets it
so my suggestion is...gut load them with vegies like carrots, those leafy stuff...
else, if u just give bread to the mealies, indirectly u r jsut feeding ur hedgie bread & fats from the Mealies..
dun get any other nutrition...

Currently my hedgehog still can't move , thinking of bring her to the vet but afraid that it will be over budget , still a student . Needs me to hand feed and drink water but when it comes to eating have to force her . Even with forcing only eat a few pellets, it seems the food is too hard for her now sad.gif

Consultation won't cost u much. Bout RM 25. U should have thought bout vet cost b4 purchasing a pet. Not cheap to keep pets....

I had a guinea piggy princessa call Yuki whom passed away sad.gif

And I wasn't ready to adopt another baby back yet and now I am thinking of getting one new baby. Is hedgehog ok with dogs?
*
Dogs will be curious about the hedgehog. Usually the dog meant no harm, just being curious n playful.
But to the hedgehog, it's terrifying cos the dog is like way bigger!

Try imagine a giant trying to sniff u and don't speak ur language.
How would that feel?

It puts tremendous amount of pressure to the hedgehog.
But u can do proper introduction for both of them, and it will be fine.
