no one answer probably because nobody knows the answer...
it sounds scary.. is it still growing.? hope it'll be gone soon.. but best to go to vet... QUOTE(TeliLeti @ Oct 13 2011, 07:08 PM) I asked this here a while ago but no one seemed to notice it. I noticed an abnormal growth on Huffster's tongue recently & it looked to me like one of his tooth grew out of his tongue. I don't think it's a tooth but it certainly doesn't look normal. If I bring him to the vet, do you think he'll be put under anaesthesia for the vet to check his tongue? |

omg...... tonight i'm a proud momma.!!!!!
for more than a year i've been trying to get my Caramel to eat mealworm.. oooh u hv no idea how i've tried and tried.. damn hard.. i even tried cricket, dead/alive. silkworm.. she rejected it all.. but these few days she eats very little. n dang she exercise a lotttt. she's getting thinner.. makes me worry sick. just now, after i gave her a warm bath.. while happily wondering in my room, i gave her a few mealworms (ooh how she really needed it after a year), to my surprise she eat it all..!! tears in my eyes.. so to others who probably facing the same problem like me (very rare), don't ever give up...!! n_< |

i think the price for the wheel at almost all pet shops are almost the same. unless it's 2nd hand.u could find here in LYN pet store.
i think he's still a baby, so probably that his standard size.. i think laa... btw it's not really good to make him sooo chubby. a little maybe.. just look at those tiny legs. it won't be able to handle the weight.. anyway, once u get the wheel, he'll not be chubby, he'll be fit.. like mine.. dunno bout others.. QUOTE(natnazlan @ Nov 5 2011, 05:31 PM) Hi everyone. I'm new here and I got some questions about hedgies. I got one and his name is Mario. Hes about 3 months old now. Where can I find stores that sells cheaper hedgehog stuff like the silent wheel other than pet shack? And how do I make him chubbier because I think hes a lil small or skinny for his age? And where can I find the nearest exotic animals vet? Thanks! Heres a photo of him |

is that really a recycle paper bedding.?
it looks like wood shavings to me that use for hamsters.. and sorry if i'm wrong.. but if i'm correct that can be harmful for them... i have also seen numerous warnings against using cedar shavings, especially for baby or young hedgehogs where the strong aroma can actually overpower and even kill them. sorry again if i'm wrong.. koz i just uses fleece.. safe, cheap n easy to clean. oh n btw..probably the best to bring that lil guy to vet.. QUOTE(ati radeon @ Nov 22 2011, 12:59 AM) ok, i hope i can get some enlightenment here from those who has experience rearing hedgehogs. recently i bought one newborn about 3 weeks old, its a female. she is active and eat a lot but one thing bothers me. its her front right leg, it looks like twisted/ sprained/ broken to me and she limps when she walks. btw my bedding is recycled papers so i thought perhaps she is not used to the new bedding. what suggestions are there? thanks here are the attached photo, when it rolls up all the limbs should be inside right? though the pic of her sleeping looks pretty normal, i have another pic which shows her front right leg cannot bend at all. to upload tomorrow |
