ok first of all, u're a newbie in this right. u should know not to disturb your hog for the first day it gets home, 2 days will be better. however chances are u dint follow that, or recently your hog just got sick.

discharges will be greenish / yellowish in colour and it will be very obvious. their nose is supposed to be wet like all smell sensitive animals, dogs. and no u do not need to wipe it  it helps in determining smell easier for them and so that their nose doesnt hurt when they sniff (u keep sniffing stuff ur nose also will become dry and hurting right, thats why its wet for them)

its scared of u that when poop is green, jeez, the first page of this thread is a 101 hedgehog guide, make use of it before getting a hedgehog

water and food is up to them to eat. u cant force them to eat / drink, treat them humanely they are one of the most sensitive creatures or else it will be a problem in the long term if they dont like u. 

Discharge can be clear as well without bacterial infection, which may be suggestive of other things. But its important to to distinguish a normal discharge/abnormal one, a quick key point is if it is not excessive or 'runny'. Other than that, is there any other signs of respiratory discomfort- raling, sneezing, laboured breathing etc?

Diarrhoea can be a serious issue, make sure you keep your hedgehog hydrated and keep an eye on the dehydration status. Is the hedgehog loosing weight? Watery green poop may occur for various reasons, but I think most importantly, (1) food change? low quality food? allergies? etc, (2) stressors- environment; noisy/hot etc, (3) parasites are some of the heads up for you to see.

If the problems persist after all this check list, please don't delay on bringing your hedgie to a friendly vet nearby for a quick check up. And hey, even if the hedgie is fine, it wouldn't hurt to see a vet for a routine physical examination too.

IFAIC, that's pretty normal. my hedgie started shedding fur since the first 2 weeks i got her. but not much tho, occasionally i spotted 5-10 strands everytime i cleaned her sangkar (i clean 3 times a week). not sure if it had any to do with her diet 

definitely not caused by dry skin, coz i really jaga her skin wor. i bathe her every 2 days, sapu losyun & beby oil sumore

fyi i fed her RC36 (1++ month) -> smart heart (current)

sand paper fitted wheels. those will cause a higher level of friction to its nails while running, in other words while running, its nails will get shorter itself. that is if u cant trim it yourself. they range to RM50-70 for one, could get to RM100+ i wouldnt be surprised (branded ones) but the con is, u shouldnt put it in for the day, as in put in and let it run for a few hours then thats it. cus it might hurt its feet and cause much more bleeding than wheels w/o sand paper fitted.

TLDR;
-sand paper fitted wheels
-cant put in more than few hours must keep an eye for it while running
-a lil expensive, but alternative for holding the hog and trim its nails
-super budget alternative, dont cut, i havent cut my hog's since birth. they wont get super duper long but when it does u can cut it super easily

i use nail clipper to cut. the normal ones that we human use.
but if u have shaky hands, bad eye sight, no accuracy or no patience, suggest u buy the sand paper.
i will wait till my hedgie is relax on my palm, and the legs are dangling out, then only cut it.
i only cut the back legs. front leg is already nicely trimmed, probably from the digging.
if yours is super friendly, maybe you can trim it like the way a mum trims her baby's nails.
