QUOTE(WhyNotYouTeachMe @ Dec 1 2013, 01:42 AM) possible, but it could just be that the cage ittoo small/empty for it to even do anything besides sleep. or perhaps it just likes to be outside, signs of hibernation will be loss of appetite, grumpiness, etc what a person would do when emo. but almost all hedgehogs wont hibernate if treated normally it is a rather rare case. well she isn't grumpy as for loss appetite i'm not sure as she only eat when I hand feed her.

QUOTE(WhyNotYouTeachMe @ Dec 1 2013, 07:58 AM) i think its just a small "i'm bored" problem. but do keep an eye out as precaution, if u think the weather is cold, then its definitely too cold for the hog, let it out a lil more or set up a heating pad/fluorescence UV lamp. if the weather is hot for u then it'll be too warm for the hog, then try to keep it cooler for it such as letting it access plenty of water. but remember no direct sunlight nor noisy spots (beside tv, beside speaker, etc.). then it should be fine. however if u think a vet is necessary then do so. yeah, think it's i'm bored problem but she really active at night. during they day like whole time from 8 am - 12 am sleep. Also need an opinion, I'm planning to buy nail o matic wodent wheels to trim the nails. is it good or not? as I'm having hard time to clip her nail

QUOTE(WhyNotYouTeachMe @ Dec 3 2013, 10:55 AM) haha its just their nature, they are nocturnal animals! the good part is just that they are suitable as pets because they can wake up anytime and not be grumpy (sometimes) so its normal if they sleep the whole morning and awake during night. yeah sure u can use that wheel. just make sure there is no prolonged running cus it might hurt its feet if its too rough. maybe only put the wheel in on and off instead of everyday especially if your hog never had a wheel before they would be too happy running and injure themselves aite thank you for your advice, really helpful for newbie like me. and also already bought the wheel but without the sandy surface as I'm scared to injured them. first day, with the wheel she go run awhile and sleep inside there.

QUOTE(WhyNotYouTeachMe @ Dec 8 2013, 10:18 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « nice, but however a notable spot is, above the housing area (the white box) if the hedgehog learns to climb (which is very very likely) it could possibly climb out. and the painful part is it will happen during the night as they are noctural creatures it can climb it, mine use to climb as my storage box was so short (thought it can't climb), next morning woke up she still in her bed but she poop outside of the box. now trying to find the biggest storage box for this little creature.
