When a hedgie runs around the cage in circles for long periods, it's telling you that it needs something to occupy itself with because it's bored (out of its mind).

Just put in a wheel or toilet paper roll. That should do the trick.

baby hedge?? hahaha i got 2 batch at my house.. my friend hedgie are tumpang at my house since Raya Holiday.. hahaha very cute baby..

so long also didnt have any news of having babies?? your leo are too old? or lost interested to girl already? hahaha

try put them separate for few days then only reintroduce lo..

Cute little Sush is quilling again. quills are popping out all over her skin >< poor girl.

wanna ask how is the condition of ingrown quill, any cure? search the internet but didnt mention in detail about it.... can you explain it to me? is it a normal condition and will heal it self??

Earlier today after posting here, I rubbed some olive oil on Sush because her skin looks dried.

Big mistake. She went very mad =[ She went biting herself and eating her own quills ><

Cleaned her with warm water lots of time, not working.

Spent hours calming her. In the end she stopped biting herself and now only normal scratching here and there but still refuses to let me touch her. One finger near her, she open her mouth wide ready to chop down my finger ><

This happened once, long time ago. That time I mixed baby oil with shampoo ~.~ The next day she went back to normal. So I hope it's the same for this time too.

Also googled about it. Apparently another owner also applied olive oil on her hedgie. Hers ended up like mine, behaving strangely(eating quills and biting itself etc) but also went back to normal after sometime.

I lost touch with the breeder right after I got my hedgehog from him. I tried searching him a month ago after I found out my hedgehog has WHS. I fed him medicine around 2.15 am this morning and he took it well. But a few minutes later, his mouth started gasping for air rapidly. From that moment, I knew that he will leave me anytime. When I woke up at 7.30 am, he was already gone.

I researched a bit online and I think it's wiser to avoid using Aloe Vera because certain parts are poisonous.
Why not use Burnol Antiseptic Cream? I checked the content before and used it on Pinto Boy's infected ingrown quills that I had to pull out after pus started forming.

The wounds healed up nicely.
