Now, I'm looking for the Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals but unfortunately till now still can't find it in KL. Any help?

Currently trying to fly the A-10C in DCS game... After 3 days, I still can't fly it properly. The manual alone have about 700 pages. Feel like I'm back to school. I hate school !!!

ha ha ha... but my setup is a very basic setup for simmers. But I still love it very much... thinking about it, still not even basic yet because of the missing rudder pedals. sad.gif

@ heavyarm
You ask for it as I'm not good in writing. However, this is not a personal review but sort of first impression...

Both stick and throttle are very very heavy. Almost all parts are made of metal.
The stick comes with a huge heavy metal plate (To prevent noob like me flipping the stick all over the desk when trying to avoid missiles from the enemy, success rate always = 0)
Buttons and switches are very sturdy built too. But I found that to press those buttons you need a strong thumb and fingers. But people said that is how the real thing work. Anyway, all works as advertised. smile.gif I did compare the HOTAS with the real thing (pictures from net of cos) and it really look like the real control in the A-10C.
Love the cold metal feel on the stick and those green led lights on the throttle...

To program the HOTAS you'll need to download the "TARGET" software from Thrustmaster website.
Very powerful and easy to use software according to some review… but to program complicated functions, you'll need to mess with scripting language which i'm still puzzling. Hope there'll be some nice GUI available in future updates.
But if you're going to play DCS A-10C then good news, just load the built-in profile from the game and you're good to go with the realistic control (except the trim hat). Installed the drivers and fire up the game without problem using the HOTAS. I forgot to install the TARGET program (too excited at the time).

I'm currently playing DCS A10-C using my 17" Macbook Pro and a dell external display with Windows 7 partition.

Bottom line, I love the Warthog HOTAS (Hand On Throttle And Stick) from Thrustmaster very much. It is a "must buy" for flight simulations fan. Selling at RM1999 at Viewnet but I got it from HeavyArm at a very good discount.

Copied from Thrustmaster site :

T.A.R.G.E.T
(Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor) is a software suite allowing users to test, configure and program Thrustmaster® controllers: HOTAS WARTHOG™, MFD Cougar, HOTAS Cougar™ and T.16000M.

Which mean all those buttons and switches funtions on the HOTAS can be change to suit your taste. I prefer the realistic functions (profile available in the game itself) thus this save me from doing all those setting and scripting programming.
You can choose from built in profile available or build one yourself with it. Or get the profile from other fellow simmers.

I did mention the games I'm into now... A-10C from DCS and Falcon 4.0 Allied Force sad.gif
The hotas itself seems to build for this game...
Try here to have a look at the DCS A-10C... http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/

Hmm... Ace Combat? Is it the arcade game?

Maybe going to have a look at the Ace Combat. But I still prefer to go as real as possible. Definitely not able to fly the real thing in this life time... he he he.

You should aim higher. Get a rudder pedal from dhs-electronic instead.

dhs-electronic

Their rudder pedals are made from metal and uses hall effect sensors. The F-16 replica looks nice. brows.gif Would love to get the Warthog but without a matching rudder set I'd rather wait for one.

For me, difficult to pilot a simulated Me109 without one since it tends to skid during turns making deflection shooting frustrating. Boom and zoom tactics with Me262 is OK though.

Their F16 pedals look nice. May consider they have distributor in M'sia as I still have my Cougar with me. Hall sensors... all my sensors in my Cougar was modified to this sensors. Thrustmaster cougar sensors sucks big time.

I think it is real hard to get rudder pedals in KL. Now, can't even find the most common Saitek pedals... sigh... cry.gif
