Between everlast and strongman ladder, which 1 is better for single sided ladder? Only looking those around rm80-130.

single sided A-frame ladder (not single pole "telekom" ladder) ya?

first select the range (whether home use only or commercial duty) dependng on your/crew weight and what you gonna do.
for lightweight people (like me) I never bent the step on any ladder before.
however for heavier people and if you are aircon ODU installation work (+40kg for >2hp) please get a commercial duty (130-150kg rated) one. otherwise the step from -- flat shape will become like u shape.

I still have an everlas single sided A frame about 8ft in good condition, its quite old since the 90s. Steps didn't deform but again, I'm lightweight.
Only complain the rubber feet on the non usable side tend to jam when closing (since day 1). Double sided A frame doesn't have such issue.

I also bought a no name 11ft ladder for ceiling painting for ~130 or 140 in 2008.

Last year I picked up a 16 step commercial dury everlas W frame (foldable 4 part telekom ladder or can be A frame 8 step), was thrown into dustbin, but I knew these were not cheap, since ppl throw away I brought it home.
I got spare part from Everlas HQ and fixed it. W ladder resurrected rclxms.gif

thanks, then i'll go for double sided ladder since it's heavier and safer. The 8 step single vs double is rm90 vs rm130 respectively.

is this 1 good?
Yup sis, A-frame 8 step (2meter) ladder.
Generally use for condo home usage like painting and changing lights. Ceiling height is 10ft and i am 6ft tall, so is 8 step ladder high enough?

Haha you're indeed lucky picking it from a bin, would have costs RM300 onwards. But your place can store so many ladders?
*

8ft ladder minus the top two steps means n-2 is highest safe step.

So 6ft ladder plus you're tall enough, I recommend 8 steps over a 7 step coz it will be comfortably tall enough for your 10ft ceiling for anyone else to use for high level work (painting, bulb change, DB box, downlight change) where the free hand still has something to hold on to (the ladder)

Haha i have issue to store the super tall 11.5ft one almost scraping ceiling, so repurposed at my parents' place as a plant pot holder now laugh.gif Was used in previous landed to paint ceiling. Now seldom use coz it doesnt fit anywhere but the balcony.
So the W resurrected is used at my parents place for regular work.

For me..at my own place I just keep one ladder, a 7step single sided A frame for my own place (10ft ceiling); 8step better for me coz i was using n-1 (bit dangerous) to tape off ceiling for painting with my 7step sad.gif Vertically challenged at 5feet6in. Luckily not fourfeetnine. laugh.gif

Careful with some ladders. Just yesterday my neighbor fell down from ladder when trying to change the led light because it didn't latch properly. He broke his one leg, now hospitalized.

Oh noes!
Usually, A frame ladder anyhow use also safer than the single I frame telekom ladder since A frame has 4 legs.

The usual warning about do not overreach and do not stand on anything higher than n-2 steps apply. Also 3 point contact at any one time when climbing.

So this is why (as per above) a ladder should be tall enough so that the n-2 step (highest safe step) has enough height for the intended work.

https://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/safety_haz/ladders/step.html has all the comprehensive safety rules when using ladders.
