QUOTE(kockroach @ Aug 26 2011, 04:35 PM) It's required. The bank needs to know whether the salary shown on your payslip is really credited to you/your bank account every month (last 3 months).Added on August 26, 2011, 6:59 pm QUOTE(totti 10 @ Aug 26 2011, 04:47 PM) never buy any property yet Standard is 10% but it also depends on the bank. If they approve only 80% of the selling price then you gotta pay 20% down payment lor.whats the minimal percentage for a house downpayment is it depends on the bank/developer? QUOTE(jasonkwk @ Aug 30 2011, 12:46 PM) for those ppl who are renting house not through agent or staying in relatives house, how to prove that you reside in that house to bank officer or when u are registering for broadband and other services. In my case, i opened a bank account using my passport and EP and it doesn't require any residential proof. As for broadband, i don't remember they asking for proof as well. What the telco told me is that, they will post me a letter and i have to send it back to them just to prove that i've received the letter and i'm staying there (which i didn't post back anyway.. so far still ok). For other services, you can always use your bank statements as proof.QUOTE(seantang @ Aug 30 2011, 12:50 PM) EP doesn't state your residential address, not sure about the old ones though. This post has been edited by Argiope: Aug 30 2011, 01:57 PM |

QUOTE(r1v3r @ Aug 31 2011, 10:11 AM) "Surat" is more formal but the slip is just computer generated plus a JPJ stamp to certify true copy, Sign by officer then collect service charge for the slip. The slip just contain your licence data without any words that state its purpose or application, so by right they dont need to know what is it for. Uhm, means the earlier my SG license issuance date is, the lower my car insurance cost? If that's the case i might just get the "slip" from JPJ when i balik KK next month. JPJ KK should be ulu enough gua? My friend who just got his PR also able to obtain the slip without problem. Better convert soon even you dont have a car yet as the longer your license pass date the lower your insurance. You dont have to tell them everything especially things about SG as they are sensitive. Guess what happen if you tell them you need to convert a license to drive in Afgan, they might treat you like brother. |

Hi guys,
My cousin is coming over for her internship next month in Kembangan. It will be from Nov-Feb. She is now looking for a room along the EW line, preferably around Simei or Bedok. I know it will be kinda hard for her since most of the owners here require at least a 1-year lease. So, if your house has a room to rent out, please let me know! Thanks. |

QUOTE(crapp0 @ Oct 7 2011, 07:35 PM) Since its an internship, she mind co-op with another person? I would suggest co-op with a airline steward since their not at home most of the time due to the nature of their work. She doesn't mind. You have any?QUOTE(deodorant @ Oct 7 2011, 09:53 PM) What sort of comfort level is she looking at? My place has an un-used 3rd bedroom, but it's small and non-airconditioned. Small as in just a cupboard and a single bedroom and no space for everything else. 10mins walk from Bedok MRT. You mean cupboard + single bed? I'll let her know. How much for the rental? |

QUOTE(kockroach @ Oct 8 2011, 07:23 AM) You?QUOTE(deodorant @ Oct 8 2011, 04:38 AM) Yeah sorry cupboard + single bed. No intentions to rent it out actually but if she can't find anywhere convenient for those 3 months then I'll clean up and furnish the room a bit I guess. She coming over earlier to look for a place? Ahh ok.. She's coming on the 22/11, start work on 25/11 till 23/02.QUOTE(crapp0 @ Oct 8 2011, 09:10 AM) I can make a few calls, the only prob is airline stewards stay around areas like pasir ris and tampines. Is the duration of the stay around 3 months? Thanks guys! So helpful of you all.. Yes, just 3 months, will pack her bags by end Feb. I guess Pasir Ris and Tampines is ok just a few stops away. QUOTE(shoograd @ Oct 13 2011, 09:25 PM) As soon as your company informs MOM of your resignation, IRAS will deduct the 15% amount from your October pay. Not entirely true. The responsibility is with your company where it will hold your last month pay and deduct 15% of your overall income from it. They will then pay to IRAS and release the remaining to you.FYI, I switched jobs after 3 months without knowing and was put through this shit firsthand |

QUOTE(walanneh @ Oct 27 2011, 10:17 AM) Hi everyone, regarding the non-resident tax of flat rate of 15% for those < 183 days in Singapore, is this applicable for the length of employment in Singapore regardless of the number of companies he or she works for? http://www.iras.gov.sg/irasHome/page.aspx?id=8958Reason being I worked for ~ 5.5 months for my 1st company and my income was taxed at 15%. However, I'll be starting work at another Singaporean company soon. Has anyone here ever encountered this situation and whether were they able to obtain their taxes back? The taxed amount will be credited to your bank account. |
