Your not working for exxon lar. You just starting out so sure exxon wont give 2 farts about who you are since your their contractor. So effectively, this make you their B****.

How is it that working for setsco on contract to exxonmobil effectively makes you an employee of exxonmobil?

Ok...

Actually im referring to this company.

http://www.noblecorp.com/

In my previous job, i did a few projects onboard their rigs and incidentally on their competitor (Frontier Drilling) who was bought over by noble. Their very safety oriented onboard most if not all of their rigs, especially those under shell. On most rigs, you dont usually need to go through the basic safety course since they assume who already know the procedure but not for noble, once you set onto their rigs, the first thing you do is you need to attend their 2 hour long comprehensive safety orientation conducted by the resident safety officer who doubles up as the ship/rig medic.

Oh well, I do not have straight A's or 1st class honours to join Exxon bah. I have to learn from he hard way to join Clients which is from manpower supply and slowly climb the ladder up. At least I manage to pull off the interview.

Hope I am not making the wrong decision...I am not sure how the environment and social ethics for contract staffs working in Clients workplace in Singapore. In Malaysia, it sucks big time where by Client doesnt give much shit about contract staffs in terms of benefits and environment.

If you are a fresh graduate, than it will be very hard to secure a job cuz you are competing with NTU and NUS grads around. Better get some experience of 2 years at least before coming to Sg. That is my best advice.

If you have exp, than you resume is not impressive enough. Re-organize and check for any grammar mistakes in your resume.
