thanks for the advise.. but i dont know why they want to interview me asap la.. i want to extend the interview date also quite hard..

they told me its a desktop support role.. maybe something like a helpdesk..

Added on September 12, 2011, 4:31 pm
yes..i admit..you are absolutely correct..
*
I think you should see the interview as something like if both of you fit each other or not. If you get the job before graduate, isn't that awesome? I think if you read through this forum, you will realize that it's not easy to even get an interview for fresh grad and now you have the opportunity to do that before you finish your study.

Find out more about the company and the position you are interviewing. Also, do prepare questions to ask the company as well maybe specifically to your role. Interview is not a one way street.

Finally, all the best to you :-)

Singapore will always be here, and such opportunities will always come around. Why you die die also wanna interrupt your revision to come to Singapore for an interview when you haven't even graduated. Concentrate on doing your best in your exams, take some time off after that to live a little and relax, then only you start your search.
*
In fact even now, after 12 years working I wish that I can do that.. rest a bit in between job, no worries for the world as they passes by. I think a lot of graduating students under FAMA scholarship do that when in fact they should start the search early and get that job. When they graduate, there will suddenly be a whole group of graduates that floods the market. The opportunity presented to reinforcism is a good advantage for him to go ahead of others especially the market is slowing down.

I recall the First Coach (light green ? ) ticket has your name printed on it. And they don't allow to change to another person. Not sure if current rules changed ?
hmm.gif

They do not really check who board the bus as long as you got the ticket. I have exchange ticket with my friends before. So far no issue.

Mine has only hot/cold water but use those round filter thingy like we did outside our house before the canggih manggih filter is seen. Even then, sometime the water has got some white particles in it. Suspect they buy those cheap filter. Have to bring own kopi and tea lor. Do exchange program with colleagues for some of the stuffs.

Anyway, yesterday I got a Sharp Air purifier KC-850E display unit with new filters for SGD499. Malaysia selling at RM1699.

E.g. if you filter is supposed to remove bacteria and yet more bacteria is showing up in your filtered water (effluent), suspect that your filter is failing you.

You are absolutely right, one should not stay in the comfort zone for too long. I mean if there's limited opportunity to move up then it's time to move out !
*
Somehow when I exchange SGD to RM, it burnt up very fast... super fast. Somehow, things in KL are a lot more expensive nowadays... sigh...

This morning there was a taxi crashing on the divider between the motorcycles and cars on the causeway. Causing a huge traffic congestion. There was an ambulance coming from Johor side. Hope nothing wrong with those passengers.

Seems the impact is only seen from those high speed crash. I was wondering how fast was that guy driving on a congested causeway. It's amazing how that can happen.

Don't you feel tired from the travelling via bus? All the walking... I was taking bus last time and gosh, I felt flat when I get home.
The new bridge seems to be very promising in cutting down the travelling time though. Do you know when is it going to open?

Ivanswk,
I believe it's also depend on where you stay in JB. If you stay a bit further, then it may take a bit longer time to reach.

Don't you feel tired from the travelling via bus?  All the walking...  .. L7Awesome, to me aft years in rented room in hdb, NOTHING beats to be back to a place u called HOME icon_rolleyes.gif where your lcd, sound system, your lazzzy chair waiting for u in your living room, your fridge in d kitchen, full of your favorites waiting for u to sapu ...u lying in bathtub rub, scrub in your masterbath etc u start d engine & taking a spin on your "turbo"...when i feel like it i can spend the evening washing, waxing my car ...... well  icon_idea.gif in short, at my age, i think i need to balance up..work hard-live up-play safe No more work, aft work, suck & stuck in a rented room, unless i can afford a whole unit. but then renting a whole unit, might as well own a landed place in jb. so unless can purchase a unit in singapo then okay la..
Vincetwmh,
I cannot agree more about that. I enjoy every minute staying in JB and working in SG. Lots of ppl surprised I am doing that but it's almost the same time take to travel from Kepong to Cyberjaya last time. Nothing new. Got tons of audio file to listen to.... and during the traffic jam out to the causeway, I watch youtube or movies via my tablet...... I varies from driving and taxi as my company is down south.

currently self study "maritime stuff"
not in O&G nor Investment banking, so dun forsee getting super rich soon
thinking of retiring my wife to housewife in near future to take of kids

i am abit Claustrophobia, so JB seems to a be good option  thumbup.gif

It's not that bad actually... let me know if you need more information and stuffs like that. One thing I am glad is that I live very near to the causeway in Larkin. A bit polluted though but solved it with a Air Filter. There are a lot of new development slightly further away like Austin area. A lot of things over there and I do shopping there too once a while. Nevertheless, I found that car is not a luxury there but a must. Difficult to get around without a car in JB. Some other things is that you may have a culture shock at first especially moving from SG to JB. Nevertheless, u will get used to it once you moved there. Lots of properties in JB to choose from.

One thing you will have to consider since u have got kids.... the clinic or pediatric that you want to see. This is kind of a big challenge earlier for me as my kids are asthmatic.

doh.gif  you really need good air filter. Can reccommend some good pediatric?
*
I normally bring my kids to KPJ. There are two good pediatric that I bring them there, one of them is Dr.Kok. Tried some clinics in Century garden but I do not really trust them. If need to nebulize only, I will bring them to Clinic Theesan in Century garden. Other than that, it's KPJ for me.

The air filter is very important. After getting the unit, their asthma attack reduced significantly.

Do you stay in JB as well?

KPJ is the Puteri private medical hospital? SG pediatric cost ~$100 for normal case. Previous trip to TMC for a lab test, rental of a nebulize etc cost $400+  What is the rate in JB?

Which air filter? Do you need to close window most of the time.

I go to Perling area frequenly. Plan to move over in future.
*
Yes, KPJ is from the same group as Damansara Specialist. I think for $400, i would rather go buy that unit. The only thing is that we will have to go early to avoid the crowd. Normally the Dr will be in at 9am but I kiasu go there about 8:15am to be the first few.

I got the Sharp KC-850E. It's on a stock clearing sale in OC's Harvey Norman for SGD499. So far not too bad.

If Perling area, you can also explore the Columbia hospital there. Not sure how is it but I used to bring my kids to Columbia Asia Puchong.

Somehow I think Malaysian are super rich. They can just grab properties like nobody's business. My friend came down to JB to invest. He mentioned that properties in KL are way too expensive but still, people are grabbing it like hotcakes on sale.
