QUOTE(starrynight @ Apr 10 2013, 06:33 PM) I think you have to separate them but don't give one up just yet. You can actually just get a storage box and make a mesh wire lid for her. This is what I do for my boy. I do agree using transparent storage box ![]() The storage box is only RM 50. It might be a bit big but it's affordable. If one is bullying the other, then you have to separate them cause they might fight and eventually injure each other. Do consider keeping her if possible. If not, PM me the photo and I'll try to help you find a loving owner , i regret buying two habitrail cage to separate 2 of them. Reason: 1 storage box easy to clean, 2 those cage wire they keep bite will become rusted, 3 rusted wire and wire gap is hard to clean and u move a bit might break the plastic attach part into pieces This post has been edited by takkicom: Apr 22 2013, 04:52 PM |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Apr 22 2013, 05:31 PM) on top of that, constant biting on the cage wire can cause brain damage to the hamster. i see, one of my chubby whitey now lose hair cause he like to chew the wirePlus storage box is cheap & can be reused for other animals in the future. So much advantages i put anything to avoid it chew the wire he like chew everything next few day gonna get a bigger tupperware cause i got 1 for chubby whitey and thin blackey, i gave them plastic they less chew on thing This post has been edited by takkicom: Apr 23 2013, 10:48 AM |

QUOTE(jeremysoon93 @ May 7 2013, 02:07 AM) Hey guys, just wanna share something I manage to do after my exams (April 5th) of which I PROMISED my girl before CNY lolol. where u get that ![]() So this is the main cage, in the picture the wood corner plank with bathing sand is newly added. But now I've bought the Living World Snap-Inn and replaced the wood with that. ![]() And this is the unfinished playground I've set up for my girl. The edible stairs I've shifted to the main cage. For the yellow block, my girl loves to hide there and pee there also lol, so I tried putting in her main cage, she loved it. It's been almost a month already and she still doesn't like the playground. So I just might sell either the main cage tank, or the storage box. Might. Do you guys think anyone would be interested in those? :/ i found in jusco 1 the plastic cutting very bad and cost 30+ =.= |

QUOTE(V-Zero @ Jun 7 2013, 10:33 AM) Ah alright Paradigm is a 10 mins drive for me. Alright will take note. Most probably robo. I prefer hyperactive stuffs. QUOTE(starrynight @ Jun 7 2013, 11:07 AM) I would advise you against robo if this is your first encounter with hamsters. If they happen to escape, they run very fast and can slip off your hands easily due to their size. First timers are best to get a syrian DONT BUY ROBOROVSKI, ![]() this is the "shitty" hamster, fear of human, i keep them for 3 whole mth still nonhuman friendly, now i let it be whatever they want, never play with them anymore just left them alone, when you catch them they keep shivering Djungarian hamster ![]() so far these call winter white, winter brown etc is very friendly, you can train them by feeding and play around, they see me so happy everytime i get home XD, food machine is back This post has been edited by takkicom: Jun 7 2013, 11:41 AM |

QUOTE(starrynight @ Jun 7 2013, 11:43 AM) I have to disagree with you being shitty hamster. It all depends on their personality and robos are known to be the hamsters to watch, not hold. They are the last hamster species to be domestic while syrian is the first. robo is meant for watching like fish, if you plan to leave them alone, of coz it cuteness, i have 2 robo both scare of human, whoever touch also scare,There's no stereotyping hamsters with behaviors. It all depends on their personality, just like humans. That being said, robos are actually more to a watching hamster and harder to tame. I seen people with robos who like to cuddle up with them but would not recommend for first time owner. Winter white are okay, I have them as my first official hamsters. There's also a stereotype that they are bitey hamsters but my fur balls are just so sweet but yes, bites are something to be expected from them as a owner. I been bitten 4 times by my sweet boy as they are still animals that goes by instinct. shitty cause they really scare and jump off from hand few time, scare shit out of me, friend donno robo play iwth it jump out from hand god @@ my winter white and brown less likely to bite people but like to lick people This post has been edited by takkicom: Jun 7 2013, 11:50 AM |

QUOTE(*dReaM FaNtaSy* @ Jul 24 2013, 12:52 AM) those who wish to use wood shavings, please do not use wood shavings derived from cedar or pine.. instead opt for those derived from hard wood such as aspen. also, whatever bedding you use.. please use unscented version.. scented ones are artificial and not good for your pet's health since your hamster only pees at a specific spot, buy a toilet (i.e. http://petshack.com.my/webshaper/store/vie...roductItem=402) and put it at that corner, fill it up with more absorbent type of litter, such as woody pet and just clean the toilet daily... woody pet are wood that are in pellet form, when it absorbs urine, it turn into flakes which you can sieve it out.. when choosing a toilet, corner units are preferred as hamsters like to reserve different corners, one of which for urinating.. i personally really like the corner toilet from habitrail my hamster is toilet trained and because of that, i can keep him in my room.. no smell at all! can buy online http://petshack.com.my/webshaper/store/vie...ProductItem=410 cotton easy to clean cause they wont like wood chip has sticky stick on to the edge when absorb alot of water. |
