QUOTE(jeremysoon93 @ Jan 13 2013, 01:32 PM) Ohai! Haha! Mine stays very very still 1. Like blur blur like that Love it when hamsters stay still for photoshoots haha. Hmmmm, usually if there are still quite a lot of leftovers, I don't refill until a certain extended period, so when they're hungry they'll eat anything (I think). I've came across an article saying this is to train them to eat everything. :/ Not sure if it really works on all. I usually fill her food once every two to three days wanna ask, almonds are okay rite? usually i'll give her half an almond once a week. maybe thats why she so fat? another pic of my ah fai~ » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by huiyin_hsu: Jan 13 2013, 06:22 PM |

She looks around... n slowly walks.. my dad ask why she walk look funmy. Like kangkang like that. Hahaha! The almonds that she eats are those kosong type. Not seasoned at all Almonds ... ah once a week should be fine la. Just dun give the salty or too sweet ones. |

QUOTE(jeremysoon93 @ Sep 17 2013, 05:54 PM) Ah, so nice to have an obedient dog. I can't have any pets bigger than hamsters, condo rules. ngaw! your story is so comel! Speaking of which, just wanna ask you guys, what is the most memorable event you had with your hamsters? It can be a happy, sad, or a scary one. As for myself, I remember my hamster escaped from the cage, it was at the balcony, and it fell into the drain. >< Quite a deep one. Luckily she just stood around there, didn't go further down the pipes. It was really scary, it was night time, raining VERY heavily with thunder. After 30 mins, I decided to put my arm in it and the moment I got hold of her paws, I carefully pull her up as fast as I could. Because I managed to save her, later in the years she had 9 beautiful babies. :') I blogged about it 4 years ago here (http://thatluxurylife.blogspot.com/2009/12/life-changing-moment.html) (Excuse the language used and the stuffs I used to say there, that was me waaaaaay back then haha.) What are your stories? Would love to hear them. He just looks at you with his huuge eyes. for mine, my hammie escaped once with a litter of her babies. found one baby here, there everywhere. but found the last 2 with her under a rack in the kitchen |

I think tht time i didn't have my dog yet. hahaha! quite some time ago already.. when i was in high school My condo also has an elderly lady with a Shih Tzu, she carries it out using the baby pram to avoid suspicion haha. |

QUOTE(rhianova @ Oct 27 2013, 10:08 PM) Does anyone know if those wood pellet bedding is ok for dwarf hamsters? I bought a packet after seeing they use it in pet shops, supposed to be better at absorbing urine and bad smells than normal bedding. The salesgirl said that when hamster urinates, the pellet will turn into dust. But then now I see my hamster like a bit pitiful, doesn't really dig around like he used to. I don't know whether it's because the bedding is uncomfortable, or whether it's because he's just not used to it yet. I used to use wood pellet bedding for my hammies but quite kesian coz she really loves digging around & its kinda troublesome to filter the pellets.. keep the ones that havent broken down etc when i do cleaning. Now i use this : https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hpho...267930203_n.jpg Its really soft and they love building "hills" and sleeping on it. And i only change it once in 1.5-2 weeks. No smell at all Here's a pic of her snoozing! ![]() Btw, their hammie food is finishing up and i don't really like the current one i'm feeding them with, purchased at Nilufar. Any recommendations for Syrians? Thanks in advanced! |
