are you sure they are playing with the water bottle? I once thought the same thing but then I found out my bottle water leaks due to different temps. In the afternoon I turn on the air con, then once the room is cold I turn it off. The water inside the bottle is still cold & the outside temp starts to increase. But then I notice it starts leaking slowly. Only happens when the liquid temps is different than the ambient temp.

As for the bowl issue, probably they want to gawn their teeth. You need to provide them toys to grind their teeth to keep it short, throw in some apple wood or those wooden bridge toys. Just fill the bowl whenever it runs low maintaining fresh food everyday. Each hamster eat different amount depending on their age...

happens to me sometimes...need to press the bottle tip ball lol. Try cleaning it, using cotton bud. I had mine with some dirt before...probably due to malaysia dirty water lol.

those who wish to use wood shavings, please do not use wood shavings derived from cedar or pine.. instead opt for those derived from hard wood such as aspen.
also, whatever bedding you use.. please use unscented version.. scented ones are artificial and not good for your pet's health

since your hamster only pees at a specific spot, buy a toilet (i.e. http://petshack.com.my/webshaper/store/vie...roductItem=402) and put it at that corner, fill it up with more absorbent type of litter, such as woody pet and just clean the toilet daily... woody pet are wood that are in pellet form, when it absorbs urine, it turn into flakes which you can sieve it out..
when choosing a toilet, corner units are preferred as hamsters like to reserve different corners, one of which for urinating.. i personally really like the corner toilet from habitrail

i using paper cotton instead of wood chip, cause wood chip has more smell even they pee in their toilet.
cotton easy to clean cause they wont like wood chip has sticky stick on to the edge when absorb alot of water.

i forgot what brand name, just you see is made from paper but shredded like cotton,
touch like cotton, less smell

but if your hamster treat it as food, you cant use it.

mine not treating as food but my friend hamster eat the paper as food.

They do look good and natural, but I'm just afraid some of those grass are very sharp. :/

i try before dry grass for bedding, too bad easy attract ant 1, so i change to paper cotton.

actually i wish my hamster die cause he too old, suffer from it sickness, cure awhile then come back, now drop alot of  hair, vet say its getting old symptom and got eye gland cancer 

somewhere around subang, my hamster really @@ 4 year old adi...
