Very active, running on wheel most of the time at night. I clean the cage weekly. Not sure what is his favorite food as it change over time. One period he likes sunflower seed, then he don't even eat it but change to something else. At one period he like carrot, then recently he can't even finish. Now food change to brand Little One, seem he is putting on weight. Will monitor next few weeks and see if that will do the trick. Will try live mealworm later if not working but afraid that he don't like it since he don't even touch dried mealworm. Thanks.

Hey guys, just got a Syrian hamster yesterday. Now he's currently living in 2 cardboxes combined together. For me, I think it's okok for him but not the recommended size, havent found a box bigger yet. Anyways... I know we're supposed to leave them alone for these few days, but today (2nd day) when i went to check on him, I saw one corner of the box scratched out. Is this okay? D: [attachmentid=4309257]

Or should I stop using cardboard boxes as a cage? If yes, then where can I get a plastic bin big enough for a syrian hamster? IKEA?

Anyone know where I can get flying saucer wheels for my hamsters? Can't seem to find it anywhere!

Also, is it too late to introduce new hamsters to the cage? I have 2 roborovski at the moment, both at few months old.

I went to Petsmore, 88 Pets mart, Pet Lovers Centre & Pets Wonderland... All do not have flying saucer.

I got these 2 robo from Pets Wonderland last year in December (2 months ago), since I got a bigger cage now ... I would like to add 1 more pair (male & male) into the group but I'm afraid that they will fight

Thinking of getting the extra robos from Petsmore as they are selling a lot cheaper and its just outside my place. But Google Search reveals that introducing them will be quite difficult. 

Heh, think you misread my question, I would like to introduce 2 more new robos into the current group of 2 hamsters that I have... Sorry :/

Introducing younger robos to the elder one shouldn't be that hard... My elder robo just simply accept the younger robo in 1 day time. But sadly after my elder robo accidentally escaped and I only manage to catch it back after 2 nights, so they are now no longer in the same cage...I tried putting them back together but what they do is only fight 

Not merajuk... just one day I need to bring them to somewhere, put in the car and the bottom of the cage came off    Only get to catch the younger one but the elder one went missing lol...the 2nd night only know to make a trap then he successfully fell into it.
Since then they no longer bro bro T_T

Hey guys, my syrian hamster keeps sneezing for almost a week now. ._. What should I do? I've fed him milk+honey mixture that some people recommended. Not much of an improvement if I should say so.

I would say not too serious yet. He's less active than he usually is and yea he's kinda lazy to walk around. Jz come out to eat drink maybe walk on the wheel for a bit then he goes bck to his home. Dont see much improvement after cleaning his place

New here.
My robo was purchased when small, now with me 2 years d.
After first full year, he's "eggs" / "balls" grow big, seems like abnormal for it's small body. whenever he craw around the cage, the wheel, the toilet, his "eggs" was kind of pumping on those things (ouch for me). And when he sits, it's like sitting on his "eggs" too.
Besides that, everything was fine. He plays, eats, run like he used to be (when those "eggs" were still "invisible".
Is this normal?
Is there similar post before where i can look up for?

uhh guys... I have an issue here. Since I changed my robos food it seems like there's ant in the cage.. is it because of the food mix too sweet?? I don't wanna wasted it by throwing them away
