Ooooooo...excitement! Jasper took a nibble at my finger, thinking it's food. Later he took a small piece of capsicum from my hand...but he's still shy coz kena feed him from his hiding spot (but he's also kaypoh - wanna see what's going on).

I just spent another RM150 plus at Pet Safari today.

Buy bedding la, hamster food (Cunipic Naturaliss) la, snacks la, bathing sand...

Anyway I balik after two days of working away from home and tengok la the muka masam. Apparently he had to resort to digging into his hidden stash. Note to self - need to leave out more food.

On the bright side, he seems to be okay with me hand feeding him but still is quite shy.

Anyway, his dinner is a mix of some Nutrifin pellets, rolled oats, chia seeds, Bengy hamster food (minus all those sunflower seeds and corn) plus Cunipic Naturaliss hamster mix. The hay in the naturaliss mix? He totally kicked it out of his bowl. Haiya. Cheeky.

Oh...how often do you guys clean out the cage as in replace all the bedding, etc?

Hahaha...I cleaned his cage today. It was interesting trying to get him into my guppy tank as he is still wary of my hand. Used a toilet roll to transport him instead.

Also discovered that he peed in the potty I put out for him. Yay!

My issue now is ants. How do I prevent ants from visiting his food bowl?

My hamster - on the other hand - still don't want to go near my hand. I can put my hand in the cage and feed treats but it just won't let me touch it. O'well...I guess I should be glad it didn't bite me. :/

Yeah...although he is up already, yawning and grooming. Hm. Is it normal for male hamsters to have a huge set? His have been swollen for the past few days. Today macam besar.

Oic...dotter was asking why Jasper's bum so big wan.

Ya...told her that it's his boy parts and she just went ohhhhhhh (she didn't look convinced at all).

Eh, you guys are super poisoning me to the max. Feel like upgrading Jasper's cage now - that ZooZone is going for RM130 but I like wire cages (although I noticed that Jasper chews the bars occasionally) but cannot find besar punya. Haiz.

Yahloh...and I got shocked at how big Syrian hamsters can get. Never mind...I shall resist.

FYI Tesco selling lots of transparent bins - 105L For RM69.90. Found one for RM30.
