QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Nov 14 2011, 04:34 PM) Marcus: To avoid the paint dry out, i saw some collector from other forum suggest to put a small cup of plain water inside the dust free cabinet. Dunno it help or not. But any how, i think polish the car is a better way in order to keep ur car paint protected and shinning alwes! Haha....will go search at giant tonight for the resin super polish. I dun think you shud put a glass of water or your diecast in a damp place. Water moisture might contribute to rust and oxidation in the long run. Same case with dslrs as well. |

QUOTE(Sky707 @ Nov 14 2011, 09:16 PM) blu3hamm3r: haha, mayb he is waiting for D800 >"< but on DX body i think 16-35mm f2.8 is more convinient to me,24mm after crop factor a bit far liao... But the nano coating and number of elements makes this a sharp and clear lens. *drooling*Anyway, I'm still thinking to try out the reversal macro ring on my kit lens or prime 35mm so that I can take really really clear and no blur sides of my diecast. My last few photos still not there yet. I wanna take just like that guy with the CCX. |

Btw, I can only use AA and Kyosho as benchmark. How is CMC like? Above, same or below?

Lkwanz90 & Geeamino: Thx for the info. So, CMC is one of the best diecast company out there. May need to look at their website to see their details. Btw, nice GTO you got there.

I'm not sure this helps but this were some of the guys from this forum posted up a couple of months back for those online diecast shops. One in HK, one in Aussie and the other one I dunno where...
I've tried to pinpoint Mercs for you as well... so far only old SLRs.. http://www.modelcarexpo.com/subcatlist2.asp?catid=50&page=5 http://pjmodelcars.com/118-Road-Car-C225068.aspx?sid=22310 http://www.bongosbasement.com.au/index.php...Id=117&page=all |

No worries. Unfortunately, most the cars you are seeking are all out of stock. I might ask my bro in Aus to see whether there are other diecast shops there.

Hehe... that is so funny with the Stig. Btw, it does look a little too big for those race queens with the car but nevertheless, it's great.

chan27: The same place you got...
Quazacolt: Uncle Chia did mentioned about one R8 GT being reserved. Must be yours. blu3hamm3r: Well, apart from some minor paint chips and not so good workmanship compared to AA, it's a nice diecast to be view from a certain distance. I have yet to have a Kyosho R8 so maybe this will do for now. |
