Jchue73: yeah, selling the neglected ones.. Sigh feel bad to them.. haha..  Sometimes think back those days when they reach my hand, all savings for months goes to them. That's the most enjoyable moment. Hey, free your UT GTRs! Take them out for photoshoot. smile.gif

Geeamino: some of my high end model display in acrylic case. Consider same as in a plastic box biggrin.gif

Hacken: totally agree with your 'hunting game' but I'm the one who buy 1 diecast in 3 months. tongue.gif
I think almost everyone here agree that you, sky707, jchue73, WKWebsite, blu3hamm3r are 'laopan' here :lol

Sky707: 2-3 models a month?! 1 year 30 models! How long you been collecting? Btw Zonda R CF is still my favourite Aa model. I think nothing to do with sticker car. If Aa produce Merc SLS GT3, will you get it? Hehe
*
myke: Don't unclude me into the lao ban list leh...i am da kong zai only...makan gaji.... sad.gif btw i agree WKWebsite, Sky707, jchue73, Lkwanz90,chuah76,geeamino,Marcus.....all this is really big lap ban! If u go to visit their house of collection, then u will surely agree with me! rclxms.gif

aquilaTE: I used to have Tamron SP90, Nikon 105F2.8 but i sell it off long time ago. I just use 17-55 f2.8 to shoot all my diecast photo. Few photo also shoot with 50f1.4 with attached macro filter. The picture look sharp is bcos i use F18 15"second ISO100 with tripod. U might try it. ^^

Btw, just saw AA website upcoming model MERCEDES-BENZ 190 SL - WHITE. Goddam nice! Who is going to grab this?? rolleyes.gif

feel free to see my room pictures dated back in 2010 lol

Added on November 25, 2011, 3:23 pm

sometimes, youd rather not have a macro lens for controlled environment/"studio" (like having a lightbox) shoot as you'll get too many unwanted details smile.gif

Yeah... the 17-55 f2.8 is a good lens. I have a kit lens at 18-105 and my recent discast diorama shots I shot at F32 4secs  70mm ISO400 and a tripod too. I still find it not sharp enuff.
*
AquilaTE: Try dont use aperture higher than F20, lot of detail will start losing when u set above F16, this is because crop sensor and high temperature at long exposure on our DX sensor. Try it, I am sure u will get sharper picture. smile.gif

The CXX picture tat u mean is it this one? user posted image

Tried PNS many years back and it failed me epically tongue.gif

I always tot the rule of thumb was the opposite extreme will yield the best results. Anyway, I dun have proper lighting since I dun use a light box and I take straight out of the display cabinet. Anyway, will test later when got time again. wink.gif

True... that's why I have a room dedicated for such things and not in the living room. My wifey dun approve to those things in the masterbedroom eventhough that is the safest place tongue.gif

The DSLR sensor has a failsafe at 5mins shutdown on the D90 since that function is made for video mode so I doubt it gets damage easily. I dont think colour temp is something to do with the temperature of the sensor. It's the colour ranges is what you called colour temp. But I'm not sure whether if different heat ranges on the sensor gives a different result to the sharpness of the photo.
*
Quazacolt: The temp tat i mean is sensor temperature. Long explosure will heat up ur sensor and of cos it will effected ur image. U might try to take few shoot with 5 minute explosure and see. I bet the image come out will have redish or bluelish at the corner.

aquilaTE: Long explosure will heat up our sensor and heat can create havoc with photons and the sensor’s photosites. As the sensor works longer, such as with long exposures, constantly using live view, or during burst mode, it heats up and your shots will most likely include those tiny speckles you so want to avoid. smile.gif

I saw this before at IOI toy shop. The shop owner himself is tank collector. More than 20 over units battle tank in his collection. ^^ nod.gif
