Good morning all, I am planning to apply for the OCBC titanium card. For the application, as far as I know what they need is just my name and IC number, then they can retrieve my personal and financial information from online database? But the OCBC agent requested the full documents including IC, EA form, EPF statements, 3months payslips and fill in all sorts of paperworks. At the moment I'm having Standard Chartered Platinum and HSBC Platinum card. Why do they need so much hassel to get this approved?

QUOTE(b3arbear @ Feb 7 2012, 11:54 AM) they where can get ur financial information from database?if like that, cm privacy is a matter to worry liao...they can only retrieve the info if u are existing OCBC card holder or using their saving/cur acc for salary crediting, then only they able, else ur card couldnt proceed any further. 1stly, those SA they couldnt know whether u are existing CM for OCBC anot cz they cant check on the spot, and a new cm is a MUST for NRIC. EA form is normally for those self employed or commission earner, EPF is to calculate ur monthly income if ur payslip is not an acceptable doc,ie:ur payslip got signature or not a computerized one...they asked in once is better than they keep sending u letter or giving u call if the doc is not sufficient. Oh I see... But I do remember one of my friend applied HSBC's credit card by just giving the SA his citybank credit card. Then that's it, the SA completed the remaining paperwork. I also dont understand why it works, but it was so easy...
