Just a question.
Say, if your card is blocked due to non-payment,
once the outstanding amount is paid, can the card be unblocked?

A question;
For credit card approval, does the bank cares whether the applicants is working under contract term? Or they only look for applicants who are working under normal employment? |

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Feb 12 2012, 02:44 AM) I was a contract worker when i get my first credit card, that was in 2005. Why dont you apply and just let the bank decide. Thanks for the information.However, with due respect, I am asking of the current bank's procedures in regards to contract worker. Since you mentioned that you can get credit card in 2005 (a good 5years+ ago), perhaps it has change. Anyone else might have any idea about this? This is because, banks nowadays are more prudent in giving credit cards, especially to 'higher risk' applicants. And since contract workers mean that they might not get their contract renewed, will this be a factor in banks giving credit cards to them? |

QUOTE(hye @ Feb 12 2012, 08:19 AM) We are not the bank here and therefore we cannot answer you accurately right ? Even permanent salaried worker also can have their card application declined if their are deemed high risk. If you want a credit card badly then place a FD with huge sum and get a credit card. Thanks for the information It all depends on the respective bank as to whether they want to approve you or not and every banks have their own policy which is not made public. If you are concerned about your own application (or asking on behalf of a friend), just submit your application and see whether it'll be approved or not. If it is declined then apply from another bank. Was just concerned about the fact that the date the person's card was approved was way back in 2005, that is all. By the way, will it be recorded in the CCRIS for any credit card applications rejected? |
