Anyway, they should give you the credit card. Try other banks as well.
I remember my 1st credit card was the hardest to approve although I was having gross income of more than double the required amount. In the end, I tried 5 banks. 2 approved. One year later, what bank also approve my credit card application.

If your car loan settled more than 12 months ago, you ll be deemed to have no credit history. Sad but true.
First credit card would be difficult but once you get it, then all banks will rush for your business. You can even not pay the gomen yearly tax and they ll pay for you WITHOUT deducting points.
Try all the banks. Surely, one will approve.
