I don't think your method will work.
Installments work differently where the bank blocks off the total installment value and (depending on the bank) returns it off to you either gradually or only after you complete the installment. Your method works if it is not installment based but don't forget for installment, the bank actually will charge you on a scheduled basis every month.

Therefore you are not repaying your account by depositing RM4K. You are prepaying but the bank take the money from you on a monthly basis.

yes, for the machine outside. At the counter, some stations might not accept transaction low than certain amount.
i used to pump RM 4+, 3+ and so on~~ the staff always point me to go to motor area and i refuse.. wanna get the rebate..hehe..

most of it accept. I just tried renew online last month. Upload a photo, pay with cc, then go and collect after 2 hours~ simple and easy~ Y^^
