Hi, sorry if i'm asking silly questions here, but i'd be grateful anyone would clear my doubts.
here it goes, I've maybank 2 card which the statement due date is around the corner, i've paid some of the amount(partial amount, not full), due to sudden financial problems. if the balance were carried forward to next month(missed the due date), will it impact on my financial record, let's say when i'm applying for house loan in the future, will this late repayment hurt my chances? p.s, currently i'm having car loan, which i never missed the due date.

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Feb 14 2012, 12:59 PM) Based on what you said above, should not tarnish your record. Important thing is pay the Minimum Amount prior to the Due Date. should not? oh no, i need a firm answer. sorry if i offended you, but i need to really make sure that it would not affect my record. i thought my planning was good, but i didnt realised that they set the statement date earlier than my credit card date, the due date actually is just 1 day before my payroll date. great... anyone can really give me a firm answer on whether it will affected my record?

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Feb 14 2012, 01:51 PM) Well, I am pleased that you actually read and understood the words in my reply. Reason being why I said should is because I got no idea if you paid before Statement Date or after. If you have made a payment after the statement date equal or more than the minimum amount, then the answer is that you credit history will still be good. Bro, another thing, BNM requires all credit card issuers to give grace period of 3 days after Due Date. So this is what you should do, go make Cash Deposit Payment once you get your gaji. oh sorry bro, i just paid more than 10 times of my minimum amount moments ago, and my due date is near end of the month. I've just called the bank to ask about the inquiries, and the representative told me although it will leave a record in bank negara, but it wont hurt the financial record, provided that minimum amount been paid, and do not over credit limit frequently. thanks bro!
