I plan to cancel one credit card. Either CIMB or Maybank. What are the things you are concern of when you need to choose which one needs to be canceled? Limit? Service? Benefit? Thanks.

For me: Benefit > Service/Convenience > Credit Limit

Which bank do you think it has the most benefit? I didn't actually check the reward points. Because i rarely use credit card, so getting something like traveling voucher is like miles away. haha

^ it depends on your personal usage pattern. The hot ones now are Maybank2 and OCBC Titanium. Refer to the pinned recommendation thread for more info :-)

Hmmm... But i don't think i would like to get 3 CC. If i cancel one of the credit card and apply OCBC credit card. Will they reject me due to the fact that i cancel one credit card before? I did pay my debts on time though. tongue.gif

If i have existing credit card now, would it have a better percentage of getting OCBC card after they have reviewed my current credit card?

Hi, I'm currently paying the installment for my car. I'm wondering, if let say my monthly installment is RM1k, and I'm kinda lazy to use cash deposit every month, is it possible for me to place RM3k in one shot, after that bank will automatically minus from that RM3k for 3 month? Or if let say, i left 2 months of payment, and I just pay in one shot and bank in. Is it ok?

Nono.. not wrong section, cause I'm paying using credit card, I don't know when paying back as installment with credit card process. So is related to credit card right?

ok u missed the 'd' there.

if u dont swipe for other transaction, the balance of rm2k will be carry forward and yes, will auto minus for next month.

ur welcome. so fast u reply sweat.gif

but wait, this method is not applicable for hsbc!
coz hsbc, if u not swipe anything, then all 3k will be offset for installment remaining balance, and there is penalty fee for early settlement!

not sure for other bank, but hsbc confirmed cannot.

Actually i'm using credit card to pay other stuff, electronic gadget you know.... Just that I worry there is penalty fee for early settlement, cause I remember CIMB employee did mention to me that if I want to make the payment from installment back to one payment shot, I have to give the penalty fees of RM50 =____=. That's why i worry. It looks like... Even though I got money, yet i still need to pay it back slowly. Right now, I left one more month of payment. I'm thinking of just pay the payment this month, so next month i do not need to go bank again.
