QUOTE(wshoh @ May 23 2011, 03:26 PM) Purchases from Apple Online via CIMB/Direct Access Credit Card I've been using MBB card on apple store, no hidden charge...For information purposes, I as well as other CIMB/DA credit card users have had our accounts charged higher than the amount invoiced by Apple Online (Malaysia, but based in Singapore) - I have filed an official dispute with CIMB/DA and am currently awaiting their response (Refer to iPad 2 online order status thread). If no kind soul starts an individual topic as regards this matter soon, I will do so when I find the time. Without going into the T&Cs of the CIMB/DA credit card agreement, I reason based on the fact that other banks including HSBC, Citibank, MBB, SCB and Alliance (as reported in this thread as well as the iPad thread) only charge the amount as invoiced by Apple Online, CIMB is treating Apple Online transactions very differently, which explains the higher charges. Will report back on progress of the matter when news/more info is available. If legal methods don't work, I guess there are always extra legal options - Facebook and LYN comes into mind. *edited* @ronnie Thanks for the additional feedback and also for highlighting it here. @Gen-X Thanks for your tip. *UPDATED* This may explain - but still not very satisfactory. CIMB is the only bank in Malaysia with such a practice then? This post has been edited by Alec.Yong: May 24 2011, 03:25 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(erry- @ Jun 5 2011, 11:35 PM) NO. ur transaction will be rejected. I do have experience on this. go pay rm300 at least or more first into your card account. it will free up the balance of the CL. CL = 4000, recent = 3600, available = 400 pay = 300, available = 700 Few years ago, my spending reached my CL, however, i m still can use my card up to RM2K, which exceed my CL. So, i guess it's depending on which bank, not all bank allow this? Luckly that bank didn't charge me overlimit fee.. |

Wanna to share something... I just received my MBB WMC statement and I noticed that I do have 158,630 TreatsAirmiles under the "Treats Airmiles Oversea" column... For the past month, I didn't have any oversea spending/usage, but only at Apple Online Shop. Conclusion is, Maybankard treat the Apple Online Shop as a "oversea usage" (without extra charge). QUOTE(Gen-X @ Nov 26 2011, 01:17 AM) Sorry to keep you guys guessing I wish to have "88", but it's not. Anyway, the last digit is an even number... WoW! If I have this number, I will make sure I keep the MBB VI till the day I die, haha. I am sure this number was given to MBB's current CEO. Aiyah, Alec has the number I want Show you my another PPM card, which is from another bank. Now only I realised that it's using same number with MBB aslo (1st 4 digit).. QUOTE(Gen-X @ Nov 26 2011, 10:48 AM) Alec, I wish to have the 88 too Hi Mr Gen, please take a look on the photos below. If you don't mind, this other PPM card from which bank? Odd that it shares the same first 4 digit with MBB VI. Maybe then again not, how many digits does this card have compared to MBB VI's PPM. All this while I though that the PPM card first 4 digits will be similar to the credit card first 4 digits. My other PPM cards have same first 4 digits with EON VS and SCB VI. I just checked my wife's PPM that comes with CB PremierMiles and the first four digits are different. Citibank VSPM first four digits 4322 whereas the PPM card 8883 (nice number). QUOTE(Gen-X @ Nov 26 2011, 04:56 PM) Bro, I didn't even realise that EON VS share the same first 4 digits with MBB VI until I saw your pic above and then go double check mine. Noted, 1st 6 digits same as card. I m planning to cancel the HLB VS soon, since I've got the MBB VI...But the EON VS PPM card only has 12 digits [mine also 1st 100 Your PPM for RHB Plat still can use? I use to have one from RHB Plat many years ago but last year reapply RHB Plat no more PPM.. The PPM comes with the RHB no longer can be used anymore, as I've terminated it long time ago...what a waste I didn't use it even once. BTW, I think RHB aslo no longer issued PPM to its Platinum card member, right? QUOTE(Gen-X @ Nov 26 2011, 10:53 PM) Yah, MBB VI 2X TP better than HLB VS 1.5 points for local spending, overseas no need to say MBB VI way better. Shouldn't be a big problem to waive the annual fee for Eon/HLB VS, I just done my for the past few month ago. My annual fee for the HLB VS coming up next month since I spent less than RM30K with it. 2 weeks ago I insisted that Ex-EON Call Centre rep confirm to me if they are waiving the coming annual fee or not, and the CS I spoke to confirmed it will be waived Yah, RHB no more issuing the PPM with Plat but allow 4 free access to KLIa or LCCT or Senai. Hopefully can get some offer by next year, if not, really have to say sayonara to it.. |
