I just found out that CIMB Preferred customers will get a complimentary World MasterCard, VISA Infinite, VISA Signature or Enrich Platinum MasterCard instead of just a regular Platinum credit card.

If only they would offer the CIMB Enrich World Mastercard to Preferred customers. Stringent vetting process still. Existing CIMB Enrich Platinum Mastercard with minimum spending of RM 500,000 per annum will be considered. Note "will be considered" meaning no assurance even if you do spend that much!

Yes. They revised it to RM200k in January this year.

CIMB Bank offers really competitive interest rates for its range of CASA. However, i still don't get why they still force their customers to pay RM10 every half year as current account maintenance fee regardless of the balance in the account, be it a regular current account or Preferred current account rclxub.gif

Please take note that GST need to be paid by someone either way because that's the collection by the government.
It's surprising many want it for free but yet I'm very sure they can afford it.

Finally, a HLB Sales person called me for application of HLB Essential Credit Card.

According to her, for New-to-Card Customer, RM50 will be given as a rebate on the 8th week. For annual fee, it will be waived if the card is for 3 times within 45 days upon receiving the CC.

Did she also mention that "RM50 bonus is limited and first-come-first-served" ?
I'm afraid the bonus has long been finished already.
