Cool brother, possible to share how u get invited for the card? Should be they upgrade u from Enrich Platinum to Enrich World right?
Thanks for sharing.
*
Yup they upgraded from Enrich Platinum to Enrich WMC.

I took our master tgeoklin's advice, got the bank's senior management to get to know me and notice my portfolio.

Public Bank, Visa launch premium card

Public Bank Bhd and Visa today launched the Public Bank Visa Infinite card, offering affluent Public Bank customers a premium card tailored to help them enjoy the finer things in life.

Interesting but knowing how kiamsiap PB is, i wonder how meagre the minimum credit limit for their Visa Infinite will be. RHB's starts at RM 200k according to their PDS, CIMB's at RM 100k. 50k?

The Public Bank Visa Infinite card comes without an annual fee for cardholders, offers a one per cent cash rebate for overseas transactions and 0.5 per cent cash rebate for local transactions, as well as complimentary access to airport lounges

Nothing special about this card. MBB VI totally pawn this card

Fully agree.

Added on December 13, 2011, 12:13 amBro Gen-X,

If my memory serves me right, you have both the HL (prev EON) VS and HL Platinum Master before the merger. Out of curiosity, what happened to the cards after the merger (since you have both)?

Have they merged both bank's card database or still two separate cards with separate limits at the moment?

While walking at 1u old wing last saturday, i was offered maybank visa infinite using other cc with minimum credit limit of 40k by one agent at the booth, very low requirement indeed, not so premium after all.
*
Looks like mbb is getting desperate in expanding its premium cards' database. At the rate this is going in a year or two, the supposedly premium wmc and vi will lose its premium status and banks will start coming up with an even more exclusive cards i.e world elite mastercard etc.

You're humble as always. Last time also you said MBB VI wall too high to climb, in no time, I saw a post on your blog the card delivered already!

Like you mentioned a few times in your blog, you perceive CIMB Enrich (regardless World or Plat) as very prestigious among its respective categories just because you don't have them and don't even plan on having them! LOL.

Your salary credited to which bank? If Maybank, get the branch manager to give you pre approved credit card easier.

Diff between MBB WMC and Enrich WMC, I guess hye, ben83 or rocky can elaborate on this.

If you have the PPM form, yes you can fax it to MBB.

And if you really like TP, then Maybankard 2 AMEX is the card to have for local spending.

Edited

To be really shiok sendiri. you must get the CIMB Enrich and RHB Visa Infinite tongue.gif
*
I like this term 'syiok sendiri'. Hahahahaha brows.gif

Let me attempt to answer the differences between MBB WMC and CIMB Enrich WMC.

MBB WMC is better for enrich miles accumulation (local spending RM 2 = 1 mile, overseas RM 1 = 1 mile)

CIMB Enrich WMC (local spending RM 4 = 1 mile, overseas RM 2 = 1 mile)

I find CIMB Enrich WMC especially useful as one can use it for the malaysia airlines buy 1 free 1 promotions for both first class and business class. MBB WMC does not offer this. With CIMB Enrich WMC, every RM 1 spent on www.malaysiaairlines.com gets you 1 Enrich mile. When shopping inflight, you get 10% discount.

MBB WMC is excellent too. It comes with Enrich Silver membership and they let you choose whether you would like the Golden Lounge access tied to the membership or otherwise. This maybe useful to some but then again, if you're a frequent traveler with MAS, most likely you're already having Enrich Silver if not Gold. Hilton Premium membership useful too, buy 1 free 1 when you dine with another person.

MBB WMC annual fees can be waived (RM 1k without golden lounge access requires RM 100k retail spending, RM 1.5k with golden lounge access requires RM 250k of retail spending).

CIMB Enrich WMC requires RM 500k and above of retail spending to waive the RM 888 annual fees completely. If you spend between between RM 250k - 500k, only 50% of the annual fees will be waived.

Finally, what truly distinguishes the CIMB Enrich WMC from the MBB WMC is the fact that you can't apply for one as it is offered strictly by invitation only. Now, that's exclusive with a big E. Hence the CIMB Enrich WMC and RHB VI being ranked as the most prestigious cards among the Premier Cards in Malaysia by none other than our esteemed cc sifoo cum blogger, bro Gen-X smile.gif

I was told Maybank is in the processing of coming up with a Premium Newsletter for its premium cardmembers (wmc, vi and platinum).

So far, it has circulation of 6,500 cards for its WMC since the July 2010 launch and 4,000 cards for its VI which was launched October this year. It has 80,000 platinum cardholders!

Compared to CIMB which has approximately 60,000 WMC and VI and 2,000 Enrich WMC cardholders, MBB has a long way to go in promoting its Premium offerings.

Yes, the Midas is "prestigious" and has been around very long and many filthy rich men having UOB account has it. It can be said it was one of the very first Premier card issued in Malaysia. But the card not much benefit.
*
UOB has stopped issuing invitations for Midas for a few years I was told. CL ranges from RM 50k - RM 300k.

UOB is planning to introduce Visa Infinite in 1Q2012. Hope it will look as nice as UOB Singapore's Visa Infinite with the big visa bird hologram.

20 years ago, that CL was considered high, and not everybody could get the invitation.

UOB VI coming? Big wings hologram? drool.gif can't wait to experience the thrill if my application will be rejected or not and the number of the card tongue.gif I just checked their SG site and from what I can understand, the VI for PB account holders only.

Actually I was requested to fill up their survey form on CC when I was at their Jalan Raja Laut centre last month and happily took the opportunity to let UOB know that their cards are useless and hopefully the UOB VI comes with PPM and more than 0.5% cash back.
*
I was told Midas was introduced to Malaysia 11 years ago. Anyway, I'm sure your application won't get rejected lah. Especially the fact that you're their PB customer. Anyway, it's their loss if they were to reject your application, they won't get free publicity/review in your blog! biggrin.gif

I can only hope they will come up with something competitive with regards to airmiles accumulation. When UOB Singapore first introduced Visa Infinite in their market in 2003, one will get 80,000 krisflyer miles (i repeat 80,000!!!) when one pays the S$ 1500 annual fees.

Anyway, here's the big bird Visa hologram I was mentioning (design similar as RHB's VI):

Gen-X, would you mind to list down (as you did in your blog, your cards CL in terms of ranking)? Now that you have additional Premier cards like the SCB VI, maybank VI etc i thought the ranking may have changed slightly?

Maybe those six figure ones you can do in alphabetical order and those 50k - 100k you can do in descending order like your blogpost.

(This is of course, if you don't mind. No need to mention the CL figures.)

Oh, I forgot to thank hye, MilesAndMore and b00n for their time and effort in Moderating this section. May the three of you continue the good work here in 2012.
Someone mentioned that I got a fetish on credit cards, you on the other hand, I think got fetish on credit card credit limit, hahaha

Bro, all my credit cards individual credit limit is way below you your CIMB Enrich WMC lah.

To tell you the truth, my CL are not on the high side because no banks got my actual income data for the last 12 years or more, except for CIMB where I did submit my income documents when I wanted their WMC when it was launched. Whenever I fill credit card applications, I will only state Income: >RM100K (except for my first MBB card which was a Gold Petronas where I filled >RM50K and initially got a CL of RM20K and requested that it be increased when I applied for the AMEX Gold CC 2 years back). I don't really care about CL, whatever the banks give me I will be contented because it is not like I can afford to spend more than RM10K a month since I was a salaryman.

However, my credit history is excellent, a far as I am concerned, where my CCRIS report states that I have my UOB CC since 1991. I guess that is why I do get CL that is more than I need when I apply for new cards. Well, if you must know, if I were to rank my CC based on CL, two of my Plat cards will be ranked the highest and my AMEX Gold Charge Card Credit Line is even higher than most of my cards. Having said that, I will tell you Public Bank did give me a freaking low CL when they approved my Plat card 2 years back. And today, if the bank ask me for my income documents, habis, hahaha.

Maybe you should list out your Premier CC CL and share with us tongue.gif
To All: for those who missed my article The Best Credit Cards in 2011, click here to read it.
*
Hahaha, fetish on CL! Very well said LOL.

No lah, my intent is not to compare with my CIMB Enrich WMC, I just want to know only smile.gif

Here are my premier card bank's CL ranking in descending order:

AMEX Plat Chg Card > CIMB Enrich WMC > MBF WMC > MBB WMC > SCB PBVI

ps. bro Gen-X, you haven't ranked yours tongue.gif
