I was told Midas was introduced to Malaysia 11 years ago. Anyway, I'm sure your application won't get rejected lah. Especially the fact that you're their PB customer. Anyway, it's their loss if they were to reject your application, they won't get free publicity/review in your blog!
I can only hope they will come up with something competitive with regards to airmiles accumulation. When UOB Singapore first introduced Visa Infinite in their market in 2003, one will get 80,000 krisflyer miles (i repeat 80,000!!!) when one pays the S$ 1500 annual fees.
Anyway, here's the big bird Visa hologram I was mentioning (design similar as RHB's VI):
Midas 11 years ago? I thought it was longer than that i.e. 1990s before we went into recession in 1997.
I am very sure it was introduced before 1997, unless I got confused with another card from UOB exclusively for UOB Elite customers.
UOB VI Annual fee SG1,500

Guess I have to look for my next thrill somewhere else.
Big bird, what big bird? I can't figure out what the hologram looks like, hahaha.

Wah, the SG VI was introduced back in 2003 and we now only getting it. Didn't know VI has been around for so long.
And if you notice, nowadays, credit cards no longer have the hologram feature.
