Hi guys, hope you don't mind me asking. I was wondering if Hasbro Malaysia is ever going to ship any G.I. Joes in the future? The question popped up in my head after getting news that some TRUs in the US are now having PoC figures appearing on the shelves with the absence of the movie line.

For real? I've only seen the movie line (GI Joe 2) figs and vehicles on shelves at TRU here. POC and 30th anniversary never hit retail here as far as I know. Will they ship in the future, I think not likely..especially if GI Joe 2 stuff don't sell well.
*
I'm afraid that will be the case. Hasbro better step up their game and they have until next year to get a better marketing strategy. Even then I doubt Hasbro Malaysia would change their minds after refusing to give PoC and 30th Anniversary a chance. If the future is like that, looks like we'll have to continue buying Joes online as usual.

retail price needs to be adjusted. Retaliation started off at RM63 a pop is crazy. I am sure it will fly off the shelves if they priced it exactly the same as US retail after conversion.
*
Wouldn't Hasbro Malaysia be responsible for this since their refusal to bring GI Joes to Malaysian shores is what allows TRU to scalp. The sad thing is that they've won since the highly sought-after figures still get bought and the only things going to clearance will be RB, Duke, SS, SE, and Zartan.

Actually the only popular ones are joe trooper and red ninja. Rest not so much including that black commander and cobra trooper. The 3 packs also hardly move, and same goes to the vehicles. Quick kick and spirit for instance was selling selling at rm50 and clearance rm10 each. If they priced it reasonably, products will move and there's no need to clear at such pathetic prices.

True though the H.I.S.S. Tank did get sold out for something that's supposed to be downgraded compared to PoC/30th versions.

Finally got my hands on a Sgt Airborne figure. If it wasn't because of the Data Viper mold, I would've given it a pass. Easy to obtain since it doesn't end up getting ridiculous prices like Firefly does.

Articulation is hindered when fully suited up so its almost downright impossible to have him hold the shotgun with both hands. Rifle can still be held but only after some adjustments to the pose and wrists.

Without the vest, he has the posability that you would expect from a PoC/30th figure. Wrist articulation is present though both wrist joints bend in the same direction due to the Data Viper initially not using a rifle but two guns/items. The Renegades Law alt head isn't as bad as some people say it is though the Beachhead/Steel Brigade head looks much more suitable IMO.

The vest doesn't have a side clasp so you have to be careful of it coming off if you carry the figure around. The main problem about this figure is that there are no drybrushed or washed paint details so it really looks plain without the vest. Also no G.I. Joe insignias or markings are present. Would've been better if he was of a darker colour like the Shock Trooper but then again, I'm biased towards Cobras.

Been a long time since the last post it seems. Still no sign of the new Wave on the pegs so that pretty much demonstrates Hasbro Malaysia's complete apathy with the toyline (I hope I'm proven wrong on this). I won't be surprised if we end up with a repeat of last year's actions by TRU to distribute it themselves and selling each figure at RM60+.

anyone doing bulk on this one?

Any other choices besides BBTS? A pity Dorkside Toys won't ship to Malaysia. It's the only one with individual figures priced from $11.99 to 12.99.

Smalljoes has it. I'm gathering orders so can order from either Smalljoes or BBTS, and then share shipping cost. Let me know if you're interested, will try get cheapest price possible..
*
I'm interested. Looks like Smalljoes might be the only choice left since BBTS no longer offers the individual figures of Data Viper, Crimson Guard and Cobra Combat Ninja (Movie-accurate Trooper) barring ordering the whole case. Smalljoes preorder must be paid in advance or only when the stock is available like BBTS?

Smalljoes require payment upfront. Once in stock, they'll ship out immediately.

Alright then, count me in. How many people are sharing the shipping costs so far?

BBTS orders are finally ready! I hope Wave 4 wouldn't have to suffer such a delay. Now waiting for my Siegies, Cobra Combat Ninjas, Duke and Storm Shadow to arrive.
