gingerbread, gingerbread, where art thou....

hi fellas, i encountered a problem with my phone shutting off itself no reason.

so far, the problem occured when i put in on the table. when i press the On button, nothing appears and i feel a few vibrations up to 1.5 seconds.
battery level was still ok though.

after that i needed to turn On the phone to get it to work.

im confident i didnt put the phone so hard that the battery got loose, because there was a vibration while pressing the button.

has anyone encountered this problem?

pressed the button once, to access the phone. no response. then i felt the vibration.

there was no indication on screen whatsoever, multiple presses on the button gave nothing until i had to restart it.

so i cant tell if it was an app crashing....

Hello. It's been awhile since I came back here.

I have an old galaxy SL n plan to root it.

Question is, what do I do after that? I see a lot of custom rom/mods but I don't know what to do next. I even bought a new battery for it from dx.com, arriving in 2 weeks.

I'd appreciate some pointers if anyone has.
