You can register the APN for Maxis manually, try that and see.
Or you still have problem, you can try to switch to other baseband.

LOL guys if you happen to know how to fix efs partition without a backup please do help!!! T_T

Or if you could suggest how to repair it. Will Samsung even bother to look at it?

Are you sending your phone to Samsung Service Center?
Is your IMEI gone?

My IMEI and the Baseband version were both gone.
I tried god knows how many ways of getting it back but all failed.

Please shed some light on this.  cry.gif

Baseband may be caused by WIFI chip fault or Modem problem.
Your IMEI is gone due to rooting/flashing custom ROM?

If you have no idea how to recover IMEI or the process is too complicated to you, just flash back to stock rom and kernel, then use a jig to reset the flash counter and send it back to Samsung Service Center.

I've sent twice using this same method and have no problem.

Well yeah it happened when I flashed some deodex packages.

I tried almost every single way I could find in the internet and I concluded my motherboard got damaged.
WiFi works fine even at current state, just the IMEI, IMEI SV, Baseband are screwed. (See my thread in XDA forum about this)
I had been flashing my phone almost every few days or week (for 3 months+) without problem until that day, plus forgetting to backup my /efs folder  blush.gif

I also read that there is no flash counter in our SL devices.

Just one question, if I were to do as you said, how much would they (Samsung SC) charge for cases like this without warranty?
This sounds like a real motherboard problem. But I might be wrong. hmm.gif
I read that many i9003 motherboards are damaged within a year or so. People even recommend to find some reasons to get Samsung to change your motherboard before warranty ends. But then again, I might be wrong.  nod.gif

You nee to act dumb, if your phone is still under warranty then they shouldn't charge you anything for it because this is not consider as accidental damage.
There is flash counter in SL as well if not mistaken, same goes to almost all Galaxy phones.

May I highlight that there is no more warranty (thus the question on charges) on my phone..
As far as XDA members were concerned, there isn't a flash counter, but there is in Note II and S2, etc.
But doesn't matter anyway, because my warranty is over.  hmm.gif

I dropped an inquiry to Samsung SC about IMEI issue and they replied me with the quotation to change motherboard at RM480.80 EXCLUSIVE of labour charges  shocking.gif

So no. Maybe it's time to gather money for a new phone.  sweat.gif

Wow, RM480 for motherboard is quite expensive, almost the same as screen.
You may consider for new phone since now SL the price is like around RM800?

My friend wanna try Rom his phone to jellybean, is it possible?
*
No official Jellybean upgrade from Samsung but you can try SlimBean which is based on CM/AOKP.
It's not a stable build though so don't expect too much. biggrin.gif
