Oh man. I beg to differ.
Top scorers get chance to study medicine, In UM, reject SG, HK, UK.

Do you guys realise that without MCA's intervention they would have only have had actuarial science?
What does that tell you about the system in place now? Even top students do not get the choice that they want. They are only getting it now after MCA intervened. Why is this so? This post has been edited by joe_mamak: Aug 16 2011, 11:40 AM |

QUOTE(mashqi @ Aug 16 2011, 11:51 AM) actuarial science actually a course that also hard to get..there's alot of top student who choose UM medicine but the place for it is limited..if u think about it almost all top student wan to be a doctor and im sure most of it will apply for UM..so these 2 girls just use backdoor to get in.. I know actuarial science is difficult to get in. But my point is they are amongst the top scorers yet they couldn't get the course that they want without intervention from MCA. |

Heard on the radio, they were reducing housemen working hours so that the housemen can get adequate rest and would not be stressed out.
Or perhaps the large number of housemen has something to do with this too. |

QUOTE(slimey @ Aug 16 2011, 12:00 PM) ugh.......... But if there is such a law, means doctors can't dispense drugs. Maybe I am just too used to the way things are now at the moment, you go to the clinic, you go see the doctor and you get the drugs as well.in malaysia they are mere convenient shop with license to sell drugs....... without a law that says only pharmacist are able to dispense drug.........nothing to look out for actually hey....i even see pharmacy selling chips, ice-cream, junk food..........yeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh....F that crap |

Wow. Seems they are reducing housemen working hours from 90 hours/week to 54 hours/week. Huge reduction.

They are quite smart in going to MCA. If they went to DAP, DAP will point out why 2 of the 8 top scorers of STPM cannot get into their first choice course, i.e. medicine.
