hei i just bought this Acer Aspire TimelineX 4830TG.

Wanna ask some question, my nvidia driver is version 267 something like that how? Need update but how to do it?

How can i know wether my battery is FULLY CHARGED?

How long does it takes to be fully charged?

How 4830TG users normally charge it? charge while use? charge when off?

in the system tray there,got a battery meter... or u can install other bettery meter oso...
it depend on r u using ur com or not when u charging...
up to u how u wan to charge as long as once the charge complete,unplug the power supply...


let me get a plug for the usb port for the CM u2 1st... after tat only decide... well,will b claiming the warranty anyway,either now or later...

Is the i5-2430m version of Acer Aspire TimelineX start selling in Lowyat? Where can I get this?

has been start selling for long time . can get it at lowyatt , digital mall , lowyatt wts section or elsewhere .

I am considering Acer TimelineX 4830TG and Lenovo IdeaPad Y470.

Anyone has experience on these 2 models? What is your suggestion?

hi guys, anyone of u encounter the sound of usb plugged in-out everytime u tilt the screen forward/backward?

also the webcam hang whenever i tilt the screen forward/backward

plug in power supply or off the power saving mode...



for the usb part,nope... for the webcam dunno since i hardly use it...

my 4830TG is DEAD ON ARRIVIAL!!

guys please check your 4830TG if there is LCD Cable problem, there is already 2 cases reported.

how to check:

1. tilt your screen front and back few times and listen if there is the USB sound plugging in/out. that means the cable is loose
2. on your webcam and tilt front and back, if your webcam freeze then confirm you got a defective unit. this is cause by the LCD cable.

because my 4830TG is dead on arrival and when i went to request for 1-to-1 replacement, i was informed that there is another dude came last week for replacement with the same problem. luckily i manage to have the replacement on the spot

and just so u all know, for any problems within 7 days (in my case, the 1st day) you are entitled to get a 1-to-1 replacement on the spot. Do not bother to send to Highpoint Service Network or even Servex for that matter because they will tell u your replacement unit will be given to you in 3-4 days time which is unacceptable to me. Imagine you paid full amount and on the day itself got problem, you have to wait 3-4 days to get a new replacement unit. Just send directly to Acer Sales & Service Centre Logistic dept @ Subang UEP. I got my replacement in 10 mins

indeed u a luckier than me coz ur place near acer hq.
