Hi guys,

I'm not fashionable therefore, I don't know much about branding but due to my job, I have to wear something exceptionally comfortable as in brand, price also a concern - recommendation of Crocodile not encourage rclxub.gif ....RM200++ for just a normal fully cotton T-shirt tongue.gif? Saw it @ Pavilion, pengsan ler.

1) Padini a good brand?
2) Looking for a decent jacket with a good brand. Budget below RM300. I saw one of Padini concept brand at Parkson, like it but cautious due to my requirement as in brand...

Experienced, bought a jacket I liked named Jefferson but the brand turn me down....sad.gif.

3) Bossini a good brand?
4) I heard Giordano, Guess and Espirit, a not so good brand? true?
5) How abt G2000 for work attire? Good?
6) Casual wear for G2000 blu? good?

Please help need a quick fix, no time to study ler...

Padini, Bossini, Giordano are good brands... kinda middle-range pricing...
not too exp n not too cheap... Casual and young taste...

You wont go wrong wif G2k working attire... quality is darn good...

Esprit and Guess is kinda upper-range pricing... a bit exp... RM99 for 1 T...
299 for Jeans... Jacket can go 299-499 depends... These two brand is ridiculously famous... how can they be "not good brand" ?

I'm dealing in Sales n Marketing of investment base. In order to break the bottleneck of higher earnings, I need to recruit people to gain the overriding. I'm going towards managerial level as I can't do personal sales most of the time and the earning is limited.

I seldom believe driving nice cars, spent luxuriously, indirect big talk in front of new recruits but the reality is people's first impression is by judging and gauging on all these liabilities to have a quick check on whether to join or not to join you. Can't blame them as all are being programmed unconsciously, similar to clients though.

My upper manager used to be like me but advise me to spend some fortune on this which will help further. Based on my observation, my manager recruited more than he used to. My expenditure is more towards on properties. Need to strike a balance.

Back to main topic:

Heck man...both jackets design are nice - too much influence already smile.gif...

Padini or Esprit? Now going to Pavilion.

Yup, whatz important is to look nice and smart, that's why I bought the jacket branded Jefferson @ Sungai Wang. Very nice when people ask what brand it that, their facial expression changed drastically, some trying not to be too obvious...aiyeah why man...smile.gif

so you're looking for something formal/work wear?

what kind of garments exactly are you looking for? i know you mentioned a jacket (you didn't mention what kind?), but that was it..

Oh! ya I didn't write properly, my mistake. I'm looking to overhaul myself:

1) Working attire - selected G2k.

1a) 4 x Long sleeve T-shirt (my size sold out, have to wait till CNY for next offer to come).
1b) 2 x Long pants (G2k).
1c) 1 x Leather shoe (Polo).

2) Casual/function wear - might opt for Bossini, Padini, Esprit, Giordano, Topman, G2k Blu and etc.

2a) 2 x jeans - straight, slim or skinny cut (Which brand better? Which cut better? Ain't skinny cut meant for ladies but now for guys as well rclxub.gif ????).
2b) 2 x khaki - short and long (Camel Active - brand ok?).
2c) 1 x belt (Camel Active).
2d) 2 x cotton T shirt - with collar (Bossini).
2e) 4 x cotton T shirt - without collar ( 3 x Giordano, 1 x Camel Active).
2f) 3 x socks (capalang brand).
2g) 1 x jacket (Padini or Esprit - most probably Padini as the Esprit jacket is not available anymore, just came back from Pavilion :-( ).

3) Gym - adidas/nike.

3a) Trousers.

As for jacket meant for function/event wear i.e. fren's wedding, pubs and movie outings.

Hmm...knowledge on jeans upgraded, before doesn't even know the number of cuts existed tongue.gif. Worst still, the era of RM10 for 3 simple T-shirt is no longer available but RM50 sad.gif!

I take this opportunity to wish everyone Happy New Year 2010!!!

Not too much except for business...even so, the style is all the same, that's why need to overhaul....Biz wise will wear formal attire like G2k bought last year, I meant last 2 years 2008 (now is 2010) smile.gif.

Tks for ur input. Padini for the jacket, my desired Esprit jacket sold out sad.gif.

Zara not bad but the price is killing smile.gif.

Tried a few jeans on Quicksilver brand on their fittings room, oops...the price is crazy, dashed out from their changing room hahaha - just kidding.....smile.gif.

if you're 6 feet and above, with a pretty average (or bigger) build then you can go for straight cut.. otherwise go for slim..

for khakis, i find camel active a little too rugged, so unless you plan on making trips to the outdoors, find something a little more classic and dressy..

zara is having sales at the moment and i saw some really nice slim fit khakis there, alternatively you can search at dockers, banana republic, gap, etc..

get a dress belt, a good option would be one with the reversible buckle, black and brown color leather.. use black for formal, brown for casual..

Thanks for the input. Tried on slim cut, funnily for straight cut I will need W33 ~ 34 meanwhile for slim I will need W36 to shove in my legs easily. When you squat, your under garment easily expose but not for straight cut - common?

Too late for me - bought already. I just found out yesterday when I wore it, after few rounds of turning in front of mirror, I believe it's the pocket that make it looked rugged. It's the huge pocket rather than a flat - not so dressy smile.gif.

noted with thanks. now I know slim fit khakis existed, thought restricted to jeans only smile.gif.

Great innovation with this reversible buckle indeed, I bought the Camel Active belt immediately because of its reversible buckle...haven't seen this innovation before mar.....haha

well for working attire, seriously go for G2000...

not because of the brand not because of the price but the comfort of wearing and YES the cutting is perfectly nice and it fitted well..

Padini is sometimes overrated (is just a middle range brand and imported from Hong Kong) but when it has got sales, it is really cheap but you would see everyone with the same shirt..

but for the casual wear, yeap they are fashionable..

will never go for Bosini.. feel as if sometimes is too cartoon-ish...

and never go for Guess anymore - the quality is declining... one upon a time., a Guess t-shirt could be wear for long but now it just gives away with few washes.

Espirit.. i love Esipirt sometimes.. and yes, they are cheap during sales.. but even if it is not, i think it is still okay.. comparable with Zara..

but i supposed sometimes Zara's quality is aint that good...

i think is better to buy what you see and like it rather going to brand... tongue.gif

Zara...has got a very up to date look. Other brands don't do this that often. Even colour and stripes shirt at zara are always inline with current favourite colours.

The shirt collars as well are always up to date and trendy.

my 2 cents.
