Guys, i need help. My unifi was working fine until i tried to activate the wireless. Now the router shows that the WAN ( the earth shape light) is amber which means its disconnected.

When i check, it shows that the PPPOE is not connected. It shows connecting, then disconnected , then connected then disconnected again.

Any help ?

The standard one. DIR-615

I was thinking of setting the whole thing up again.
I have my PPPOE  name and password but i don't know how to use it

i got rid of the fukken dir 615 modem after 1 week. now im using the tplink wr841n. Excellent so far and its the cheapest alternative.

here Klseet's website has easy to understand instructions. Can be set-up within minutes

Will this work on the standard modem ?
*
dude what? the tplink is the modem. are you referring to that black BTU huawei unit? yes it works with that. just follow the steps in klseet's website. at the bottom he even put up a flow-chart of the system

anybody using tp-link 841nd change firmware to ddwrt?
*
dont have to do all this. use this one instead

http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...e&id=7&Itemid=6

download the beta firmware in that same page. its not DDwrt, tplink made a custom firmware for unifi. im using it now and it works much much better then the useless dlink dir615

so basically to homeplug works in pairs? the ethernet cable from the modem to the homeplug, and one more ethernet cable from the other desktop/laptop to a different homeplug? hmm.gif
