When you want to divide bandwidth between 5 users, its actually quite complex already. Conventional home based router wont be able to do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

not really... You can go find the tp-link simulator. It allows us to set bandwidth for each user, based on IP address assigned of course.

Nice, this wireless router I can get it for RM85 at LYP. laugh.gif

Funny, the D-Link DIR-615 is about the same price (RM90) as the TL-WR841ND but why the TP-Link is the superior product?

I mean, the TL-WR841ND when physically compared to the DIR615 it looks much sleeker, bigger in size, and the antenna is more convincing than the DIR615...Plus the TL-WR841ND got better software features like for instance the one I really need:

Just got a TP W8961ND but I cant seem to get it to connect to the internet. Any particular reasons?

I dont see any guides on this model since the Webgui is also very different. Its orange version not the green ones like in most of the guides.

Can anyone help me?

On my desktop, using a D-link DWA-110 adapter, I'm getting around 1-3 Mbps on speedtests while on my laptop with its adapter its getting 9-10 Mbps. I'm using VIP10 btw. So I'm left to wonder if its the adapter at fault but when I think about it, it shouldn't be so bad to the point of me just having 1-3 Mbps should it?

And if it is the adapter being the problem, any recommendations on which USB adapter to get? Heard DWA-160 is something to look at.

What is the signal strength you are connected at ? Lower signal strength gives you lower speed. Im on VIP20 and I was using DLINK DWA-110, I can get full speed, only ping use to be slightly higher.

However, the signal strength was excellent. More input will help troubleshoot yr matter.

I'm getting 2-3 out of 5 bars for signal strength. Speed hovering between 18 and 24 mbps.

Oh and Unifi was just installed like yesterday if that makes a difference(shouldn't be because then my laptop wouldn't get those speeds)
