See my sig
Signal inconsistent in terms of? Wifi?? It should be wifi problem. if connected directly through LAN, most ppl here said no prob. Me personally have been connecting to DIR615 through wifi for more than half year(i mean using it for more than half year not continuous half year connection ya~) No serious problem.

Problem that I face:
1) Can't let BT go full (In terms of connection.) The router will just kill my wifi connection, Exclamation mark pops up~ in a short while. I limit it to 60~100 and it does just well.
2) My housemates, ALWAYS NOT ME... Can't connect to the router through wifi and they constantly restart the router as  they can't connect... After their restart, I maybe face some disconnection on some site. Normally my web game server and facebook game server. Sometimes facebook. The last time i face this prob is yesterday. It will recover after a long time but ytd, i tried to reconnect manually and it does the job.
3) Problem accessing config page. If the router is up for 40hours++ ~2days. It normally will hang, can't get into its config page but still can surf and drop in surf quality(speed or latency). A reboot kills the prob.

== time to get a new router, should be 841ND, after my router

The signal I mentioned is wifi as my modem and wireless router supplied by TM is located at upper room while I'm accessing my pc from downstair study room. Beginning my normal wireless dongle does not able to receive signal from upstair but after bought the big piece of antenna booster then my signal is back to full bar. However can see that the wifi signal is not consistent and sometimes can experience in drop of speed or lag. Wonder if this could be due to the lousy TM Dlink router? Will the signals getting better if I change it to other brand of router? For your info, my handphone is having extremely difficulties connecting to the wireless despite just few metres away.

4 plug extension... that is power socket.... you need at least 4 to power up all equipment in one place....STB, modem, router and DECT phone...

I'm feel like wanna change my streamyx 1mb to current VIP 5 package. But, i my house currently facing disconnection problems that happen 2 or 3 times a day. I already call TM technicians come to fix this problem. Unfortunately, this problem still exist no matter i change my modem, cable, or etc.

If i change to Unifi VIP 5 package, will this problem still exist because what i heard is Unifi is different port from streamyx and i believe my streamyx problem is the port problem which TM technicians refused to repair.

I really need some comment about my problem, since i suffer pain when disconnect from gaming. And the unifi contract is 2 years, what for i still subscribe if this problem still exist under unifi.

Anyone downloading there?
UniFi is still based on vdsl2. If u're in apartment, you'll still be connecting through the same wall socket. If the problem is between ur wall socket and the central infrastructure then problem might not be solved. "IF" Just my 0.02

i think diff based on the building.....for my case in my condo, tm install new jumper units for unifi, which totally separates from those with the streamyx.

can refer the other thread about my complaint for pics

If you're in a high rise (serviced with VDSL2), you'll probably be patched over to the new MSANs sitting right in your building. That should provide improved DSL sync stability vs Streamyx.. but I've seen a few cases where even the copper wiring within the building is so crappy that Unifi loses DSL sync. It's different depending on your location.. you should ask your neighbours who have signed up for it regarding the stability of the service in your area.

My FTTH port under TTDI is pretty awesome :

I have similar situation. Currently there is telekom underground trunking from outside to my store room where telekom distribution box is located. Since Unifi fiber line will go thru existing telekom underground trunking outside the house, I would expect them to use existing trunking as well to bring it into my house. Anyone else has similar setup? Will Unifi contractor place the FTB in my store room then?
*
Anyone having similar underground telekom connection able to answer my question above? Any unifi installer on LYN perhaps? icon_question.gif

Yes, the unifi cable will be pulled through the existing Telekom duct to your store room and FTB placed there. My semi-D house unifi cable also make use of the existing underground ducts.

Just got my hands on a TMRND router (black)..

Looks like bridge mode is possible on this :

CODE
BusyBox v1.6.1 (2010-12-14 15:12:14 CST) multi-call binary
# brctl show
bridge name     bridge id               STP enabled     interfaces
br1             8000.001exxxxxxxx      no              ra0
                                                       vport1
                                                       vport2
br2             8000.001exxxxxxxx       no              eth1.600
                                                       vport4
br3             8000.001exxxxxxxx       no              eth1.500
                                                       vport3

Firmware handles better than the previous DIR-615, OS level VLAN config + bridging as opposed to switch chip VLAN management.
*
Any updated instructions on how we can bridge this TMRND router? Can't seem to find any options to do so in the firmware.

Thx
