Hi, anyone using Aztech HL110EW homeplug?

I bought it together with HL280E homeplug so that I can use unifi downstairs on my phone and ipad etc..

I tested the LAN connection works (using my laptop), however on the same laptop, if I try to connect it wirelessly, it unable to obtain the IP address and just keep 'Connecting...' and fail and retry again.. same for my android phone and ipad

anyone having similar issue? I wonder if it's related to the router settings

thanks

Yeah, if you look at the back of your router, the cable is connected to your WAN port by default...... remove it and connect it to your LAN port la.

You want to use the IPTV or not?
*
Do you actually know what you're talking? He's trying to use DIR615 as vlan bridge, disabling DIR615 wifi and then use his old Belkin router as AP.

Follow this guide if you're using DIR615. No idea for black TMRND

guys, if i watch youtube using the HyppTV interactive thing, will my downloads on my laptop be affected? I'm using a VIP5 package, and uhh Youtubing on the HyppTV uses the 8MBPS line or the 5MBPS line? plz advice, thx.
*
Everything you do on IPTV uses the 8Mbps reserved bandwidth, nothing to do with ur internet. Download won't be affected on ur laptop.

Guys, considering to switch to UniFi now, my stimix been DC-ing so often, i swear TM is forcing me to UniFi...

anyways, few questions..

1) How to i setup multiple phones in the same house with the unifi phone?

2) Can i install it without a TV?

3) Do u guys actually get the promised 5MB DL and UP?

4) Does UniFi suffer downtime? How long has ur UniFi been down for the longest?

Thats all for now, hopefully u guys can help me out.

My alternative is to just upgrade to 4mb stimix.....

So far all my friends used it without any problems and much better than streamyx

3) Yup 500kb/s download always, not sure about upload coz i seldom upload stuff

4) I only recall 1 downtime this year, and that was because of planned maintenance.

my friend got DC very often when he used stimx last time, after changing to unifi never dc before

Hi guys, I have a question. The default DIR-615 router is too weak and I can't detect my router in certain part of my house. Which router will you recommend me to change? I need a much stronger router covering higher distance.

thanks in advance

Let's say I want to change to other router like TP-Link TL-WR1043ND, how do I configure it to work with unifi? btw does this router have much stronger signal than the DIR-615 given by TM?

For the time being, it will only work on DDWRT, see klseet.com for guides.
What I mean is you need to flash it with custom firmware (named DDWRT) but it only allows single vlan tag which means you will lose the IPTV feature if you flash it with DDWRT. The custom firmware from TP-Link itself is still developing (refer to klseet post earlier). It must have stronger signal than DIR615+a lot more extra features.

I'd been using my TL-WR841ND for 1+ months. I have been using with utorrent since day one. Got full speed and got no problems. However recently, my wifi connection "crashes". All devices can see the access point but can't connect to it. Gives "connection timeout" on my OSX. I tried connecting via LAN when this happens. Surprisingly, internet connection is still alive, but just the Wifi has gone nuts. My only solution was to connect via LAN to torrent. That way it doesn't crash my wifi connection.

I didn't fiddle with any of the utorrent or router settings.

Any troubleshooting tips? Thanks.

Normal surfing no prob? Try another PC connected via wifi to download. Might be the problem of your pc/laptop wifi card too. "might"

Am on VIP5 installed a month ago, DL speed is OK around 5Mbps, but UL speed is like being capped at ~2Mbps.

Complained to Unifi but the technical guy says that is normal due to high-rise building.

Any idea what's the problem?

Dont understand your problem. Are you saying that with your laptop, you are able to connect to the LAN with RJ45 via the homeplug but cannot connect to the same LAN via the same laptop's wifi?

Did you assign fixed IP to both your laptop's wired and wireless network connections or are you using your router's DHCP function?
