First match of the season not much expectation plus our first team affected by the departure of Cesc and Nasri. Yesterday's match is to evaluate our team. To fix some minor bugs in the formation, what player to sign in every department, and most important thing is the morale and the attitude of the players.
Getting 1 point in St James Park is always tough. Newscastle always not an easy team to win. Even during Henrys' era, winning team is not certain. I am satisfied overall but Gervinho's red is abit dissapointing as he misses Liverpool and Man Utd match |

With Cesc leaving, it actually signifies Wenger's plan was a failure for the past 8 years after the Invincibles. I am looking forward to him rebuild the whole squad from scratch

QUOTE(little_mozart @ Aug 15 2011, 09:38 PM) Nanas08 Samir Nasri Official He wanted to man utd. now wanted to join man city for money. how insulting you are.I heard what the fans were singing about me on saturday and it is really disrespectful because i'm still a arsenal player Cesc had been us for 8 years in and out. Wenger bought you 3 seasons ago and groom you to where you are today. Dare to say disrespectful? |

I don't really like RVP as leader. Gave me some kind of Henry feels. More responsibility less flexibility

QUOTE(arsengal @ Aug 17 2011, 10:21 PM) "I would rather not be captain and still have Cesc here. But he’s left and I want to say that I feel we should be proud of how he developed here for eight years, rather than being upset that he’s gone. I feel that people are upset about it, but people have to understand that he is going home. He played more than 300 games, was captain at just 21, and so all fans should be proud that he played so well for us because he was an amazing player and an amazing leader, who led by example. So let’s keep that feeling of him, rather than focus on the negative side of him leaving, because that happens in football. Keep in mind too that he’s not left to go to another English team - he’s going home." — Robin van Persie Marco Van Basten in making? And that's why Robin is captain, he always has that positive thinking mind. |

I somehow feel that this current batch will be better than the previous ones. I reserved my comments on Frimpong previously but after yesterday's match. It is a matter of time he will replace Song in the future. He has more aggressive in him that made me shouted for him than Song. The only problem now is to fill up Cesc's boots. Ramsey doesn't look compose enough to play as first choice yet. Left back was exposed. Both position need to fill. Miguel had a solid game yesterday though he accidently conceded one. I was surprised when Wenger sub him rather than Squilaci. Winger need to buy as we are clearly lack of somebody who can lead the attack especially on the left. Yesterday's match, our attack seems to be toothless. It wasn't a good game. Liverpool was not clinical enough but they were the better team where the result speaks for themself. Next week against Man Utd will not be easy, they are much much more clinical in front of the goal and once they bossed the midfield where we looked much more weaker at the moment. That will be the end. First problem is to conquer the midfield to control every game before think of other thing. We need somebody to hold the ball and distribute it around the team plus a winger who can run. I think the CB talk will be secondary before we made any changes in the middle.
