hi guys, for symbian belle, do we have better way to enable/disable mobile data/wifi connection handling?

cool, exactly what I have wished for!

1-so how's the current release of Belle, still with many bugs/restriction?
2-if I install Belle now(still not official), do we have to "downgrade back to official Anna" in order to get the official update to Belle later?
3-anything else need to worry for upgrading to non official Belle?

i got this error when trying to flash to belle

Then it says FW upgrade failed and my n8 is bricked :'( any help please?

I have flashed back to previous Anna using FW from Navifirm via Phoenix, it's alive now, but upgrade to Belle still failed after 2, 3rd time attempt, yes, even after PC is restarted

ANy other idea?

i followed the guide here to update to delight belle:

and ended up with a bricked n8 with error message mentioned in previous post, and followed the same steps to flash back to previous anna, then n8 is alive again, strange, heh?

Hi, yes, all option checked already, i googled and quite alot of ppl facing this problem but no solution...

i m using Anna SW version 24.001, does this matter/could this be the reason?

Hi sifu,

actually I did that and the flashing has started already as you can see from logs from 10%...100%, just that after flashing is completed, it failed to communicate with device and the phone keep stuck with black nokia logo flashing few times before it died...I had tried also to disconnect device, press power until it vibrate twice and reconnect device at this stage, no help:(

i just tried with the stock leaked belle, same problem
Ok, will try with another PC but need to source for it...it still cannot explain why flashing back to stock Anna is ok, very strange..now i can only smell belle belacan because always failed with flashing

@basara2020 -thx for the procedure, yes it's identical one as i used before. and yes, usb connection has been deleted, dead phone flash was checked.

The problem now is the phone is not able to boot up after finish flashing, the white nokia logo in dark background got flash a few times during "Waiting for communication response", after 25sec timeout it reported failed. Base on the video, it should not show "nokia logo"but should be the "..."on the screen during Belle startup...hmm, what has really gone wrong?

Can you guys share what is the Anna FW and Prod code used before flashing to Belle? Do you think it's a good idea to flash to the same Anna FW you guys had(i hope this will work with Phoenix but not yet tried), then flash to Belle again? I am suspecting it could be due to the thai Anna FW I am having...

yap, phone detected as RM-596 under usb connection...

good clue, I made Anna official update via OTA, and it's 24.1, it's also shown in navifirm under "production external", AND i realized tat 24.1 is only released for certain region FW such as Thai, MEA and Netherlands, could this be the cause of my problem?

Hi all, i've good news to share with all! I have flashed to Malaysia Anna V22.014 and then flashed to Belle Delight successfully^____________^

This proved that Anna V24.1 released for certain country above is not compatible with the current leaked Belle.

Gonna enjoy playing my Belacan N8 now, thanks all btw for the great advise provided, <3 LYN

PS: there's no guide/sharing abt upgrading to Belle yet on 1st post, shall we consider that?

Playing my n8 belle now, saw many red icons such as contactlauncher, crossenabe..cwrtregistry... when I pressed it, nothing happened, is this normal, and how to get rid of those? I have done a hard reser via *#7370#, hope i did not missed out anything?

huh? it appeared after booted the phone first time, it has also red restart and shutdown icon...do u guys have these?

hi all, i have some questions abt fmobi:

1-i downloaded fmobi from the website (jiikoo.com/fmobi/) and installed on N8, i can't see any layout and features as mentioned in the page (example upload foto)? All i can see is only a web browser FB page, did i install something incorrectly?
2-some claim fmobi is not free anymore, where can i dl the full and foc version? need to *ahem* ?
3-can we choose which foto album to post, or by default it goes to mobile upload?
