Aft reading the article, seems very clear that india harley will remain in india, same goes to china harley.

also the price of old discontinued harley will remain high, cos the new ones they made are not the same any more.
You'll never get that farting airplane kuda sound... lol

The Cina Harley does look the part. They should really sell it to tackle the lower price point buyers.

RE is making a killing with the 350.

Perhaps they will if the response to the models is good in those 2 markets. Asia is the largest market area for small cc bikes anyway and it would be good for them to increase market share and profitability in this region while spreading the Harley name to more segments. Only time will tell...

I prefer the looks of the India Harley though but with just a single cylinder engine...maybe it is not competitive in markets outside India where we have longer and wider roads that need more power. I test rode the RE Hunter 350 and found that it is most suitable in the city. On our highways, the 150cc to 180cc supercubs can probably easily overtake it!

Haha the RE 350 with its air cooled engine. Y suku will fly by. But people riding it is all about the classic, nostalgia, the “OG”. I like the storied history and background, so long as we keep in mind it’s price point and try not to look too hard when it’s parked next to a Triumph that’s more than 2 times the price.

Which is what the Harley brand is all about. But sadly there’s no entry level Harley to fill the gap. This Cina bike would serve to bring people into the brand - because they can actually afford it.

Love it or hate it, Harley forms a big part of motorcycling culture, and almost have a stranglehold on the big cruiser segment - and nothing else.

Before I rode bikes, I always felt Harleys are stupid. Obnoxious, loud and slow. Metrics would easily fly by at a fraction of the cost. Today, they are still obnoxious, loud and slow - excluding the new liquid cooled Sportster S and Pan Am.

But I’ve grown to appreciate certain aspects of it. Like how solid it is build, and how grounded the bike feels despite its fat weight. And sometimes the experience of riding the real thing versus spec on paper really throws your expectations off.

I think if anyone is into motorcycles as a hobby should at least own or experience an air cooled Harley at least once. To make your exposure more well rounded.
