I always press on the clutch before braking, for example: getting over the speed bump, cornering, etc... I've been doing this for the past 2 years. I'm not sure this habit is good or bad, but I feel that my ride will be smoother from doing this. Any advice?

I'm not sure because last time my driving instructor told me that pressing clutch while cornering is a very dangerous act.

QUOTE(Maapu @ Aug 13 2011, 07:52 AM) I also have this habit, but i only press the clutch when braking near the bump. Nomally i drive fast on straight roads but i slow down on the speed bumps (slow as possible). Because of this habit i have to press clutch for the car to be smooth (using gear 2). Will this cause the clutch to be worn out faster ? EDIT : i dont use the clutch to make the car to slow down. i slow down the car first and then i press clutch when going on the speed bumps. +1. Today I tried to pass through the speed bump without pressing the clutch. The car feels jerky when I accelerate. This post has been edited by Evolutionf33: Aug 13 2011, 10:45 AM
