Hi Sky, Yes the ec series is based on the 3.0 like many gamers loved, but the ergonomics are slightly different because its build according to Heaton's(Best Overall CS Player) preference. White edition is fully gloss and easy to clean where the black version has a matte coating which is very grippy and comfortable.
The ec2 is slightly smaller but its important to note that its not just merely a proportion-shrink version of the ec1 but rather slightly different shape because Zowie find its to be more ergonomic that way, EC series also fully supports the 3 most popular polling rate which can be hardware adjusted without any drivers (pro gamers have no time to fickle with drivers during competition and there are many restrictions regarding driver installation, hence the driverless approach.)
We can assure a virtually 0% of mouse acceleration be it positive or negative which means the sensor is very consistant. Besides the sensor can tract at high speed too so low-sens gamers be assure. We use and optical scroll wheel for maximum durability and feedback(the notches when scrolling is very tactile!) Our custom lens is the main unique part of the sensor, only 1.5mm which is also a huge advantage for gamers that consistently pickup and reposition their mice. Dont forget the huge mousefeet too which is very generous compared to other mices!

As for mousepads, we're sorry to inform that we currently only carry the G-TF Speed, its unique because the surface's stitching(slightly rough surface and low friction) was design to fit Spawn's playstyle, he personally prefers low-friction mousepad that offers an easy glide.
A lighter colour version is not offered because during Zowie's R&D, black is found to be the best colour for sensors to operate, in short mice tracks better on black. The stiched sides are to ensure that the mousepad wont have frayed side over a period of time. The water-proof function is a bonus and should not be regarded as the main purchasing point. Conclusion the G-TF Speed offers a unique surface(rough/coarse-texture) which is another style compared to other cloth mousepads. Zowie confidently claims it to be the fastest clothpad!

Hi zebras, Zowie MiCO has fixed dpi which are 400, 800, and 1600. U just need to simply hold left and right click then scroll up and down to change it. Red colour represents 400 dpi, violet represents 800 dpi while blue represents 1600 dpi.
