QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 25 2012, 11:34 AM) Some sort of. Thanks for the info Cheeroy, appreciate it.. i myself is a novice.. bought amfirst at 1.19 and still queueing for tower reit at 1.29... the price is kinda high though.. usually price will decreased after dividend payout right ? expecting the price to decrease soon as amfirst just declared their dividend payout. They announced the dividend/distribution in how many cents. They never announced dividend how much yield. So how much yield you are getting is based on your purchase price of the reit. eg. The reit announced 7 cents pa. You bought at 0.90, so you are getting 7.77%. Another person bought at 0.85, the person get 8.2%. |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 25 2012, 02:02 PM) Opening price will be ex- or deducted from the previous closing price, but with generally won't decrease too much. Hi Cherroy, As the more decrease the price is, the higher yield attractive will be if distribution in the future remain, (generally does as lease/rent generally on long term basic unless the lease is not renewed by the tenants) Acknowledged yr info. I have decided to try on REITS because they have averagely 5% to 9% yield annually, which are relatively better comparing to FD and it is not as simple as i thought. i expect ignorantly that it to be straight forward as the annual yield are shown in http://mreit.reitdata.com/. Since i have a full time job and hardly have time to domonitoring/online trading, i have decided to "invest" for cashflow/annual dividend yield, im thinking it should be ok to enter at a higher price(since i already bought) and of cause it's better if i can get in with a cheaper price which bring better yield. will monitor the price and top up when the price is cheap. Anywhere, thanks for the info |

QUOTE(xjeez @ Feb 27 2012, 04:29 PM) Its more stable but not guaranteed like FD, especially when there is a turbulent market and you want to cash out you might lose a lot of principal unlike FD where the principal is guaranteed until Bank Negara goes under hi xjeez, Bottom line is, make sure you are aware of the risks, however slim it may be. noted. only invest proportionately in REIT. thanks for the reminder. |

QUOTE(wankongyew @ Jul 15 2012, 09:16 PM) I'm not sure what you mean by entitled. By now the AMFIRST-TR should already be in your account if you are entitled to them. If you choose to exercise the rights issue, you must pay RM0.83 for each rights issue you want to exercise. You also need to pay for more AMFIRST-TR if you want more than what you have already been allocated. Got it wankongyew. Thanks ! |

Dear Sifus,
Seek for your opinions and advises. I have 3 lots of HektarReit bought at 1.40. With the latest 1:4 right issue, i'm eligible to subscribe 750 shares of rights with the price 1.23 which costs RM922.50. If i am to subscribe those rights, my average price would be 1.366 which is way expensive comparing to those rights at 1.23. In this case, wouldnt it be better not to subscribe to those rights and sell the shares before the commencement of RI? If i sell off all those 3 lots, and buy in Hektar-TR on the first day at 1.23(hypothetically), it is still cheaper than subscribing those rights right ? Thx in advance. QUOTE(ronnie @ Aug 21 2012, 12:18 AM) Once the EX-Date, the HEKTAR price will be adjusted. Hi Ronnie,You don't buy HEKTAR-TR @ RM1.23, you buy HEKTAR-TR @ price to be calculated between Mother Share - Rights Issue Price. Eg. Mother Share : RM1.40, HEKTAR-TR : RM0.17 To buy Rights Issues, you need to buy the Rights @ RM0.17 per share + pay RM1.23 per share still dont get it You don't buy HEKTAR-TR @ RM1.23, you buy HEKTAR-TR @ price to be calculated between Mother Share - Rights Issue Price. Eg. Mother Share : RM1.40, HEKTAR-TR : RM0.17 -> u mean HEKTAR-TR can be bought at 0.17 when it is available at klse ? To buy Rights Issues, you need to buy the Rights @ RM0.17 per share + pay RM1.23 per share-> with the entitlement of 750 shares of rights, it'll costs rm1.40 per share ? Please enlighten me Thanks |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Aug 27 2012, 01:26 PM) Mine also first time... I believe Maybank nominee CDS account is normally slower. (as Maybank wants to earn some interest on your hard earned dividend first) noted with thanks, Ronnie Added on August 27, 2012, 2:01 pmi sold off my hektar before ex date for capital appreciation. thinking to buy back IF the price is lower after RI. hopefully, the price will be below 1.30 after RI (1.23). IGB ipo application is not available in mbb yet... what about other banks ? any ideas ? This post has been edited by TheBestICould: Aug 27 2012, 02:01 PM |
