QUOTE(xjeez @ Feb 3 2012, 09:27 AM)
1. For every unit of STAREIT that you hold, you will receive 4.0112 cents in dividend, of which 0.92 is taxable and the rest is not. If you hold 1000 units you will receive about RM36-RM40.

2. This is provided you still own the shares as 2nd Feb 2012 (EX-Date), if you sell it before then the person who bought it will be entitled to the dividend and not you. In addition after 2nd Feb 2012 the share price will be adjusted down accordingly (minus 4 cents).

3.  You will only receive the payment of dividend on the 28th of Feb (+ banking operations time)

thanks biggrin.gif

i am planning to either get PAVREIT or PANAMY

anyone can comment on it?  notworthy.gif

Added on February 23, 2012, 4:51 pm1 more thing that i jsut realize on REIT. correct me if i am wrong blush.gif

everytime divvy payout, the divvy given will be deducted from the share price (eg HEKTAR giving out 3c divvy. so when it payout the divvy, its price will drop 3c)

since REIT counter volume are low, means the price will rarely go up. doesnt this mean the counter will drop more than it go up? rclxub.gif

Investing in REITs is like own the properties and get the rental only.Dont need much appreciation side from the reit price.

It is something like a fixed income instrument or in other words , passive income. One shout treat it differently from ordinary share.

If wanna trade around with fluctuate price , REIT might not be the place.

My 2 cents.

The new injection is a good news indeed.

QUOTE
Diversification of Income Stream and Long Term DPU Growth
Currently, the income stream of Starhill REIT from its existing hospitality real estate is derived from fixed lease rentals, which provide the Trust with a steady and secure income stream. However, income upside and growth potential are limited due to the fixed nature of the leases with step-ups in lease rentals occurring every five (5) years.
The Proposed Acquisition is expected to reposition Starhill REIT with two (2) income streams comprising (i) stable fixed lease rentals from its existing properties and (ii) variable income from the Marriott Hotels, increasing potential for DPU growth and variations.

The stock price still fairly lower than NTA.Therefore it is undervalued IMO.

In fact very good.

Now I thinking should I keep it or sell it?

As long as Tenants doing well can pay rental on time,it should be no problem smile.gif

and CMMT is acquiring Queensbay Mall somewhere in the near future.

Price up up again ? Perhaps rclxms.gif
