Manager's fee increased, they will work harder to gain even more commission. Their earnings is tied to the portfolio value, so in other words, we will gain too if they want to gain more.

QUOTE(learn2earn8 @ Mar 19 2012, 03:34 PM) ok, assuming the person owns a prop to stay liao. now got excess savings in fd of RM50k learn2earn8,would it be better to sailang into reits or buy a property for investment its just food for thought but forumers all said its comparing not same, so close case 1. With savings of RM50k, I don't think you have a lot of property choices (e.g. the maximum you can go for is a RM250k property). 2. I personally do not like debts. Any investments with debts will erode my profit. If I want to buy anything, I prefer cash. I don't even use credit cards because it is a form of debt. 3. Buying properties is a long-term commitment (when I say long-term, it is too long). Anything could happen in that 15-20 years. This is my own opinion. So you be the judge. QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 19 2012, 03:36 PM) Currently there are 15 Reits in KLSE panasonic88,Just a funny thought, is there anyone here buy all the 15 Reits? I did a quick calculation, it needs less than RM20k to have all (assuming you buy 1,000 shares each). Which is better? A) Buy all 15 M-Reits at 1,000 shares each, or, B) Choose 3 Reits (could be more, or less) & focus on buying more later. It is not a good idea to buy REITs in the industry you already own. You should not diversify the companies, but diversify the industry. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 19 2012, 09:03 PM) @skid Yes Pana-jie, reallyyyyyyyyyyy long time no see eh. Been working whole day and night until I have no time to come and post here. Well, I am not exactly RK's follower, just "borrowing" his ESBI quadrants because I have to keep reminding myself that I have to walk that dreaded journey to be rich @cherroy @Ronnie @bryan5073 @jordy @xuzen Thank you very much for your inputs. Hello Jordy! Long time no see! So you are not Robert Kiyosaki follower I am actually WB's follower, where I only buy if the shares get within my risk tolerance. That is why I don't get into any debts. How has your portfolio been doing? Still holding on to your AXREIT? |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 19 2012, 10:15 PM) @Jordy Pana-jie,Glad that you are so occupied. We need to produce enough of active income before we get money rolls money to generate more passive income I don't have any Reits atm. More on buying "expensive" brandrd stock nowadays. Lol. How about you? Mind me taking a peep at your golden eggs basket? I thought you had AXREIT before? Or did I remember wrongly? So are you buying into bluechips now? In my basket, I still have my AXREIT and ATRIUM. I have added AMFIRST recently. Both have been doing very well, but AMFIRST still needs some time to pick up. Well, I still have time to wait for AMFIRST to grow as there is still some potential. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 30 2012, 10:57 AM) Congratulations on the 130% profits. Thanks pana-jie. I bought end of 2008 and beginning of 2009 in 2 tranches My guess, your Axreit purchase date should be in 2008. So what kind of "aggressive stocks" stock that you are looking at? I have not found any interesting stocks to get now. If I can't find any, then I might as well invest the rest of the money into my business for marketing purposes. Want to join me in searching for the right aggressive stocks? |

QUOTE(okyjace @ Apr 18 2012, 11:13 AM) Just did a returns analysis of my stock portfolio. For 2012, it appears that my REITS are pretty much tracking the rise in KLCI with a total return of about 5%. For 2011, my REITS returned about 7% - pretty awesome considering the KLCI was flat for the year. okyjace,I would say that 2012 has so far been a bullish year for the stock market. So its good to know that REITS, as a defensive stock, has so far been tracking the bullish market since 1.1.2012. Have you included any dividends paid during the year? If you did, I don't think the figure would be so little. |

I think this time around AMFIRST should announce their dividend. They missed out half-yearly pay out last quarter if I'm not mistaken. That should be because of their early payout due to the enlargement of share capital?
Cherroy would you like to clarify this? |

QUOTE(dewVP @ May 5 2012, 07:25 PM) Hi guys, dewVP,Is it more advisable to buy REIT equity fund (PFEPRF) or individual REIT? Currently eyeing on PAVREIT. Advice on pros and cons? Buy unit trust only if you have no experience and no time to monitor. If you want to maximise your profit, buy the REIT directly. |
