The air-cond point in my new house's bedroom is right above the window and the wall space on top of the window is very narrow. I was told that I need to find an air-cond that is ideally less than 9 or 10 inches in height. Otherwise, need to drag the point to somewhere further on another side of wall but that would be ugly. I went to an electrical shop, he doesn't sell air-cond as small as that. I wanna ask if it's possible to find it? Please tell me where if can, thanks!

QUOTE(weikee @ Aug 10 2011, 10:54 PM) Less than 10" is hard, usually is about 12" Maybe you can try windows unit put under the windows. But will be noisier compare to split unit. Getting it will be hard too. Singapore easier to get windows unit. Windows unit is very ugly in my opinion and I have blinds there so it won't look nice. Really hope can find one...

QUOTE(weikee @ Aug 11 2011, 12:14 AM) Happy hunting. Hope you find one. I was looking high and low for sometime, and decide to relocate the a/c to another side of the wall, adding additional 10 feet from my original plan location. This is because i have a 6 feet height windows, and 8 feet door. BTW, the windows unit is not very ugly i seen few in my friend SG house. Yeah worse comes to worst, I'll have to relocate it to another side of the wall too... I'm not giving up yet!!

QUOTE(Serofax @ Aug 11 2011, 02:36 AM) estara, you have plaster ceiling in that room? if yes... you could easily gain a few more inches by cutting away a portion of the ceiling, and place the air-cond in that cut out portion, meaning hald the air cond will be above ceiling level, the other half below. I can't because I rent the house, it's not mine. But good idea thanks! QUOTE(skng03 @ Aug 11 2011, 03:10 AM) check out Hitachi, i remember they have a model under 8" .... Really? Is it possible to find out the model for me? I found they have only 9" something...thanks that's positive news!
