PIKOM Officially Annouces WCG Malaysia 2011 National Final

Hi Gamers out there, good news!  WCG Malaysia 2011 National Final will be held from 7 - 9 October 2011 at PIKOM ICT Mall @ CapSquare. The Official Game Titles are:
- Counter Strike 1.6
- League of Legends
- StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
- Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
- FIFA 11

We are currently in the midst of finalising the promotional game titles that will be included in the 3-day e-Sports event.  Registration for the tournament will be opened soon.  Come back again for more updates!

if wanna join wcg malaysia 2011, we must use own pc or use the organizer pc?

organizer will provide the pc and equipment, but u can bring along ur own equipment at the venue..

can i bring my monitor?

nope prob. If can bring a 42" LED full HD monitor..

a 3D optimized screen and 3D glasses on the spot just to top it all off

i should go ask them if u can do a cast.. hehe.... i don mind doing one...

but then, if you notice, football commentators yell and shout like other commentators which is only to pump the audience's adrenaline. and talks play by play, they dun analyse the game and predict the strat in the commentary. they only do that during the half time analysis.

Already quoted in my previous post, you can just copy pasta to them actually, and then voice out your experience or whatsoever, who knows they might hire you as head marshal? You get extra $$ even if you lost trolololol.

But then, WCG KR is using some sort of stage style which you will use these few map top64, then top 32 different map, then top16 different map.

While WCG US using the veto map style where you veto the map out until 3 maps left, then Bo3.

From your uploaded .pdf for the R&R, it's stating the game will be using V1.3.2 instead of the latest version, as you can see you are not able to go back to the previous version as the game has to be played online, for your information the current latest version is V1.3.6 as of today (9th of September, 2011).

Now for the map pools, as shown from your R&R.

Scrap Station, Jungle Basin, Steppes of War, Xel‟Naga Caverns, Blistering
Sands, Metalopolis, Delta Quadrant, Shakuras Plateau, Lost Temple, Crossfire SE

This wasn't the latest map pool in the competitive scene, the latest one are these.

Thank you for your feedback.  I have clarified with WCG Korea before and they insisted that we refer to the rules that they have provided as they will apply the same rules for WCG Grand Final.

However, I have noted your feedback below.  Let me speak to them again and will revert to you soonest.

Good to hear that, i personally think that it was WCG Korea's mistake for giving out old rules i guess, since they were using the latest map pools for their prelims, and even using GSL's modified map.

Incase you were wondering what's GSL, you may check out www.gomtv.net for more info, it was a online-broadcasting Starcraft 2 tournament in Korea.

You may talk to your Starcraft 2 Marshal for this issue, he should understand why the community wants the latest map pool instead of new, due to some imbalance in certain map like Lost Temple which benefits Terran the most during game-play.

Anyways, hope WCG KR will re-summarize everything again, thanks for your help.

that is what i exactly need man, 4 gate me as hard as possible while i do a defensive 3 gate with stalker follow up with blink and robo and some immortals like all the koreans do @@
