i came cross a seller in penang selling brandless whey. he told me very good business also as alot of supplement seller buy from him in large quantity.. i guess theres possibility to refill the real bottle with fake whey.

I got so pissed when I saw this thread. Now I'm so paranoid about buying supps online. Zzz....

Let me clarify this over with the seller first before revealing his identity. It could be a fluke.
If he dodges my questions, I will leave reveal his name and let him answer for his questions.

Well I was not that concerned earlier on as I googled and there's no particular results on fake protein powders.

I doubt u will get good reply from him. I have observed his sale thread. IMO worst seller ethics for supps in lyn. There are better and cheaper sellers out there. He is plain rude, at times.

Aren't you paranoid now bro? People putting milk powder inside whey tubs or taking out half the pure stuff and mixing it with milk powder. Damn.... I've got a friend in Pathlabs. He does bodybuilding too. I showed him the thread, he was majorly pissed. He said he will personally lab test the powders he buys from any online seller and he'll do it for me for free or very much reduced cost.

I feel sorry for the genuine sellers but I'm not taking chances. He and I agreed to lab test the products and we'll take pics of the lab reports as proof and post the fake seller if we catch them.

I cannot imagine what other substances they might put in apart from milk powder. Bear in mind these are things that we consume. Sigh.

If I catch the fella, I'll do my best to make sure he'll never get back a good reputation again for a long time. I'm sure the mods and staff of LYN will allow me to post the username if an actual picture of the lab test results are taken as proof.

ya,something need to be done before all people lose confidence to buy online even from those genuine seller. This case could bring down the online market and this is not fair to those work hard to sell their products..

but again, even if tat guy got banned, he could just start a new thread and it can all start again.
not tat we r going after someone who owns a shop or something and we can just complain and got his shop raided and closed.
best option is still to stick to sellers u r already familiar with.

Yeap, kinda agree with what janson said. I honestly don't feel much paranoid as I have bought from my regular seller so many times. The tubs are sealed well, not tempered or showed signs of being glued and I have never gotten any unsealed tubs. I have bought some from retail stores and I can recognize the same taste and consistency with those bought over regular online sellers. Somehow this gave me that assurance they are genuine.

Ain't so easy as that. A phone number can be traced. The real name can be obtained. And he'll be marked, shop or no. Word gets around.
